A Daring Deal

I quickly followed Wesley out of the classroom, but I was too late. When I stepped out into the main hallway he was no where to be seen. I tried looking for him everywhere, including the boys change room but it was like he vanished into thin air. I decided to go home as finding Wesley at the moment seemed impossible. I knew that mom was going to be out, and sitting at home alone having done all my homework already sounded dreadful. I took the long way home through the massive field our school has where the beautiful cheerleaders were practicing their routines, the football players were practicing their skills, and Wesley was running up and down the field in attempt to try and make up for his loss. Wait, Wesley! I found him, finally!

"Wesley!" I screamed running up to him.

"What is it Em?" he said with a slight phant.

I continued running with him, but grabbed his arm to slow down.

"W-wait" I said as we finally skidded to a halt.

"What?" he asked.

"I-I overheard what Mr. Russel said to you"

"Oh great, and now your here to throw salt on my wounds"

"What, no! I'm-I'm actually here to make a deal"

He stood up a little taller and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Look you're failing chemistry, and it just so happens to be that I am a master at the subject. I can tutor you so you'll at least pass with a decent mark"

Wesley's eyes lit up at the thought, but darkened at the exact same moment.

"And what do you want from me?"

"Well I guess I need a little bit of tutoring myself. What you said at the party the other day, it...it's true. I seriously am non-existent, and I need help. I don't know how to make myself known, because I'm not used to it. You date girls that Jeremy likes, maybe, just maybe you can make me like one of them?"

"So you want me to make you, I don't know, likable?"

I looked up into eyes with the best puppy face I could master since his tone suggested that the idea didn't fit.

"That's it?" he asked.

I blinked my eyes once to many.

"Uh-yeah, I guess that's it"

He laughed for a good couple of minutes and put his hands on my shoulders.

"Oh Emma. Remember the time when we played that stupid game while we pretended to be businessmen? You were never good at making deals then or now"

"Wh-what? Wait, that was a stupid game Wesley. Will you help?"

"Of course I will! See you later, I wanna enjoy this last practice I have"

And with that Wesley set off to the ground again leaving me grinning like a maniac. Jeremy Williams here I come!

Really short, but I think it summed up what I wanted. Enjoy!
