About a week later Lexis was walking Omega with Aria. It had taken her awhile to even be able to walk again. Aria was showing her around Omega, getting weird looks from those around her. Why the hell was Aria doing walking around with a young human?

"Omega has one only one law, Lexis. Don't fuck with Aria. You follow that law and you're golden," Aria said as they made it back to Aria's penthouse.

"How old are you Lexis?"

"I'm 12."

"Um, Aria," asked as she sat down on Aria's bed after they sat in silence for a few moments.

"Hm?"

"I... um... thank you."

Aria gave her a weird look.

"Get some rest. You're starting your training tomorrow."

"T-Training?"

"Go to sleep."

Lexis laid down with her back to Aria and just stared at the wall. Everything her parents had said about Aria was true but... the way the 'Pirate Queen' was acting contradicted what they had said. As she started dozing off she felt an arm around her. She felt her face grow hot but her body gave a shiver. Aria pulled the covers up over Lexis and laid beside her.

Lexis released a sigh. She couldn't explain it but... she actually felt safer in Aria's arms.

5 years later

Lexis ran from cover to cover, listening closely for boot steps. The radio chatter had gone quiet. Bray's men were smart enough to know that she would be tuned in on their radios.

Come out and play boys, Lexis thought with a smirk.

One of bray's men stuck his head out from behind a corner and Lexis quickly fired, hitting him right between the eyes and throwing him onto his back. Several more men flooded out onto the street hoping to overwhelm her.

Lexis pulled her assault rifle off her back and started firing. After taking out all of the men who were blocking her path she took off at a run with her pistol in her hand again.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Before she could stop, Lexis was thrown onto her back by a biotic blast. She skidded a few feet but aimed her pistol at the one blocking her path now. Aria took slow careful steps forward.

"Thought you could get away that easy huh," Aria said getting closer.

Lexis smirked and pulled a smoke bomb from her belt and threw it, making it land just in front of Aria. Smoke billowed in the asari's face. Lexis took the chance and ran past her. When she glanced over her shoulder she saw Aria blow the smoke away with her biotics. The human ran faster now, coming closer to the landing docks.

I'm almost there, Lexis thought triumphantly.

Just as she reached the landing bay a ball of biotic energy exploded against the wall right next to her head. Lexis glanced over her shoulder as she kept running and she saw Aria running after her, glowing blue and launching biotic energy at her.

Lexis pulled her pistol and shot the door controls causing the door to slam shut, but not before Aria dove through the doorway.

"You're not getting away from me that easily!"

Lexis aimed her pistol right between Aria's blue eyes. This caused the asari to smirk and put her hands out to her sides.

"Do it. If you have the guts for it!"
