It was like it all happened in slow motion. The glass from the window shattering. Screams from my classmates. Everybody diving under the desks. The people in black surveying the room, muttering imperceivable things into some kind of device on their arms. Them grabbing me.

Wait.

I snapped out of my trance to find three or four intruders grabbing my arms and beginning to usher me towards the window.

"No no no no, wait, wrong person. Wrong person-" I pulled out of their grip and tripped on my own foot. I frantically started to grab at anything in sight. The eleven's hallway is on the bottom floor. If they got me outside, I'd never get away.

I ended up knocking over one of Mrs. Matling's clay flower pots, most of which only house dirt, when I fell. Clay pieces and dirt chunks had sprayed everywhere.

I could use this.

I desperately reached for one of the clay pieces, but to my dismay, I ended up with a handful of dirt.

Seriously?

I hurriedly attempted to throw the dirt in my assailant's eyes, hoping that it would do something. Anything.

"What the-?" A young guy's voice muttered in suprise. I guess it worked after all. One of my arms were released - now's my chance. I scrambled to grab something I could use as a weapon. By now, the sound of multiple sirens could be heard in the distance. Somebody must've flipped the switch. I spotted one of the sharper pieces of clay and frantically reached for it.

"Not today, lady" Mumbled the same guy.

What?

I closed my fingers around the makeshift weapon and started whipping it around, hoping I hit something. I clipped someone, presumably in the arm, just as a sharp prick in my neck sent waves of warm numbness throughout my body. I slumped back down to the floor, unable to move anything. The clay piece slid from my now limp hand. I could feel my eyelids growing heavier by the second. The last thing I heard was a woman's voice:

"We got her. Let's get going before trouble shows up."

That's when I blacked out.
