The first day back for anyone wasn't fun, but for someone who was the most hated girl in the school it was terrible. A few people decided to "accidentally" push me into a locker or book me, but other than that it was like I was invisible.

Yes, there were many people who decided that it would be the best idea ever to talk about me, seeing as most people thought I belonged in jail. No one approached me, though, and I was fine with that.

I had already accepted the fact that no one would talk to me this year, and if they did, they wouldn't be doing it to become my friend. Well, unless they were the newest kid to town and didn't understand anything that was going on.

Lucky for me, though, someone like that actually did come around. The only thing is, they became popular instantly, getting pulled by the current that was swimming away from me.

Even the teachers ignored me. They made eye contact, sure, but when they took attendance they didn't call my name. They just look at me and made a check next to my name. For all I know they could have believed my name to be Devil Spawn and they would have thought it fit me better than my actual name.

Today couldn't have ended sooner. I had gotten every paper I needed after class, since everyone liked to skip me when she passed papers back. I was invisible, and that's probably why I was forced to sit in the back of all my classes.

Maybe it was just a coincidence, but with the way my life was lately, nothing was just a coincidence.

Must of the classrooms were clean, at least in the beginning of the day. Near the end of the day, though, the floors became covered with scattered pencils and pens, as well as crumpled pieces of paper and gum wrappers. The air started to smell like perfumes girls used and that disgusting Axe body spray that guys took a bath in.

It was totally and completely disgusting.

People pushed and shoved their way through the narrow hallways when the final bell had rung, rushing to their lockers. I was one of the few people who just carried a folder to school, most had to put it in a bag to show off how expensive or cute it was.

A few times my eyes met those of my old friends, who just looked at me until I finally turned away, unable to take the stares of those who used to care about me. People who I still cared about.

At the end of the day I took out my phone and headphones as I started to make my way home. I turned on a song by Imagine Dragons as I walked past all the buses that were now starting up. I felt a few gazes on me as I kept walking, keeping my head down and trying to lose myself in the music.

A few people flipped me the finger, shockingly acknowledging my present. I just kept my head down and continued walking.

The day was pretty decent, except for the fact that it was eighty degrees outside. The sun was burning right down on me, so even if I had looked up I would probably have been blinded by the light. The sidewalk below me had a lot of little cracks, and there were some chalk drawings on it from the kids who came outside the other day from the elementary school. Some were drawings of butterflies or hearts and others were just words or names written in different colors.

I never would understand why the Elementary schools had to let the kids come over here and draw. I know the two schools were right next to each other, the middle school being across the street from the two, but they had side walk that they could draw on.

The buses started to drive by me as I continued to slowly make my way home. When I had made it past the last of the buses and onto the main road, I turned the volume of the music down a little bit.
