As expected, the rest of the Europe trip was just as amazing. Jeremy came back for our last concert in Vienna and met my other friend Rylee and my twin brother Mark. I haven't seen him since, and we're back in the states now.

We still keep in touch, through regular texting/calling now that we're both back home. He's off shooting SuperGirl and I'm just trying to survive senior year of high school.

To Jeremy: WHY DOES MONEY EXIST

From Jeremy: Ah, you must be applying for college scholarships and financial aid

To Jeremy: Yes :( and it's seriously depressing me

From Jeremy: I have something that might cheer you up

To Jeremy: PLEASE TELL ME

From Jeremy: haha okay okay
From Jeremy: Guess what broadway live musical is being made into a movie?

To Jeremy: xO NEWSIES

From Jeremy: Guess who's being recast as the lead performers?

To Jeremy: SHUT UP
To Jeremy: HOLY MOTHER OF PASTA

From Jeremy: "holy mother of pasta" xD

To Jeremy: 1st of all: pasta was made by heaven to make humans happy and 2nd of all: OH MY GOSH I'm so happy for you!!

From Jeremy: Thanks Jen :) I'm so excited to go back

To Jeremy: You'll have to FaceTime me at least once while you're shooting so I can live vicariously through you :p

From Jeremy: which leads me to the second part of my surprise! ;)

To Jeremy: Oh??

From Jeremy: guess who's inviting you to come along with me and be on set as soon as you graduate?

To Jeremy: what are the signs of a stroke?

From Jeremy: you're too young to have a stroke, drama queen xD

To Jeremy: I'm not too young to hyperventilate though; you can probably hear me from here.

From Jeremy: XD

To Jeremy: you're not pranking me are you? Is that a real invitation to join you in Los Angeles for the Newsies production after I graduate??

From Jeremy: cross my heart and hope to die

To Jeremy: you sir are a saint and my hero. I love you. *cue internal sobbing*

From Jeremy: I love you too goofball, now how about you go ask your parents so we can get this party started already!

After Jeremy explains all the details, I drop everything to make a google slides demonstration to persuade my parents to let me go. Hey, it worked for Emma Stone!

The next day I put on my most serious clothes and set up my laptop on the dining table where my parents were waiting at my request.

"Jen, what's all this about?" My mom asks.

I push up my glasses and take a deep breath. "Mom, Dad, you guys remember my friend Jeremy Jordan?"

My dad laughs. "How could we forget about our daughter's famous actor friend who she talks to every other day?"

I grin slightly and nod. "What do you think of him? Remember when we Skyped with him together last month?"

My mom smiles. "Yes, he's such a sweet boy. I thought he was very smart and nice."

I squeeze my hands together to contain my excitement. "Well, I have something I'd like to discuss with you."

They wait attentively. I nod and continue, showing them my thorough powerpoint and explaining how they start rehearsals in May but I've been invited as a guest of Jeremy's to spend time with him and the cast and crew on set in Los Angeles until the end of filming.

I would stay in Jeremy's extra room for free and use my savings sparingly for any food cost, though Jeremy insists on letting him pay for everything because he knows I'm saving for college. That I'd be meeting a lot of bigwig producers and directors and seeing how an A-list production is put together, which is a once and a lifetime opportunity.

That this also proves (besides my relationship with Jeremy being platonic) that this is more like a professional summer camp and absolutely not a one way pass to being promiscuous with a boy out there by myself. That this is the same level of supervision as the Europe Trip except it costs less and I won't be on the other side of the Atlantic."

Once I finish, I sit down and anxiously bite my lip, waiting for the decree.

They lean their heads together and whisper for a few minutes, before turning to face me.

"If we let you do this," my dad says in his serious voice. "You are to call us once a day to check in and send us plenty of pictures of your adventures so we know you're alive and well. And if anything bad happens, you're coming back on the next flight out. Understood?"

I squeal, leaping up and hugging them both. "I love you I love you I love you."

I sit back, happy tears streaming down my cheeks. "I promise I'll do all of that and more. Thank you for letting me follow this dream."

"Aw, of course honey," my mom says, kissing my cheek.
