Part Seven

Jimin woke up entirely too early the next morning, groaning softly before looking at his phone which told him it was 8:00. He sighs and sits up, making peace with the fact that he's probably not going to be able to fall back asleep anytime soon. He knew his grandma was already up from the sweet smells of breakfast wafting up to his nose from the kitchen and smiles to himself. If his grandma could get up this early in the morning, so could he.

He slowly makes his way down the stairs, still a little sluggish and finds his grandmother in the kitchen, flipping a pancake. She looks up at him and smiles brightly. "You're up early! Are you finally taking in what I told you about getting up early, stretching your legs by going on a morning jog, and having a fruit smoothie afterwards to wake you up?" He laughs softly and shakes his head. "No ma'am, that was not the plan," She tsks and shakes her head, pouring him a cup of coffee, adding some creamer to it. "Here, this should wake you up a little. Breakfast will be ready soon enough. But, I expect to start seeing those exercise regimes," He nods sleepily, taking a slow sip of his coffee. He takes a few more sips before he feels a few bursts of energy surge into his body. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough.

As he slowly wakes up, he thinks back to the conversation that he and his grandmother had last night, specifically about his date and who he was on the date with.

"Jiminie, you know you can tell me anything, no matter what it is. Why didn't you tell me?"

"Well, I haven't exactly told anyone about it, except for my best friends. Not even mom and dad know. I..didn't want to be judged or shunned for it,"

"Sweetheart, now you know that would not have happened. We love you just as you are. Your sexuality changes nothing. You can love anybody in this world and it wouldn't change the fact that you are my grandson and their son. I feel that you should tell them, I'm not saying you have to do it today, but do it when you feel ready okay?"

"Yes ma'am, I understand..thank you.."

He softly hugs his grandmother for a few seconds before their conversation continues.

"So tell me about the date. How was it? And who was the guy you were seeing?"

"His name is Yoongi and we met at that coffee shop not too far from here, Sweet Brew Coffee?"

"Oh yes, I've seen that place,"

"He bought me a sandwich, some red velvet cookies, and a pumpkin spice latte. And you know that I love pumpkin spice. He paid for everything, insisted that he would because I shouldn't have to pay for anything if I'm on a date with him,"

"Sounds like a gentleman,"

"Yes, he was. After that he took me to see all these landmarks around Daegu. He also took me to his favorite park where he would write music. Then we went to a corner store where I got these sunglasses and this "I Love Daegu" keychain," He showed them to her and she smiled.

"I love this keychain, you should put it on your keys. Go on,"

"After that he took me to Panda Express for dinner and we just sat and talked..joked a little bit and got to know each other a little more. And then we came back here,"

"Sounds like you had a wonderful time out,"

"I did, it's been a long time since I have,"

"Do you already like him Jimin?"

Jimin paused after she asked him that. He didn't know exactly what to say. He did feel something when he was with Yoongi, but was it too early to say that he already had feelings for him?
