The coughs and sneezes that were wracking Jimin's body right now were annoying, but well worth the cause. He had caught something from standing out in the rain with Yoongi, but he didn't mind it that much. Having that moment with him was now a core memory attached to his heart, he would never forget about it. And now, he could officially say that Yoongi was his boyfriend. He couldn't be any happier than he was right now, he was on cloud nine.
He blows his already raw nose and throws away the tissues, sighing to himself. He had been bedridden for the last couple of days, barely able to get out of bed. At first he thought it was just a little cold that would go away in a few days, but whatever he had looked like it was going to stay around for longer than he anticipated. At least he didn't have many places to go, but he was missing getting out everyday. Usually when he was in Daegu, he didn't go anywhere except with his grandmother so staying inside wasn't that bad. But now, after seeing so much that the city had to offer thanks to Yoongi, he was missing all of the action. He was also missing his other half.
His phone started to ring next to him, making him wonder who it could be. Jungkook and Taehyung were in class so it definitely wasn't them. He picks it up slowly and a smile appears on his face. He saw the picture of him and his mother lit up across his screen. Usually when she called him while he was with his grandmother, his father was not too far from her to be able to talk to him as well. He hadn't talked to them over the phone, much less a facetime since he had been gone. He has been texting them and letting them know anything that was going on, but it had been too long since he had heard their voices.
He could hear his grandmother's voice in the back of his head as he clicked the button to answer. She was right, they deserved to know what was going on with him, especially if it had to do with his romantic life. Like his grandmother said, they wouldn't judge him, but sometimes it was hard for Jimin to be that vulnerable. He was used to doing so with Jungkook and Taehyung, but it was always the people that you knew would never judge you that you could never truly tell anything without feeling like you would be judged anyway.
His face lights up as soon as he sees his mother's face and her smile. "My Jimin, how have you been! You don't call, barely text, I always have to ask mama if you are alright!" Jimin blushes and gives her a soft smile. "I'm sorry mom, I'll do better at calling you and dad. Where is he by the way?" She looks behind her and smiles. "He's coming, he'd just cooking cheesy spaghetti, your favorite," Jimin sighs loudly at the thought of his favorite dish, the one that his father makes whenever he asks him to. A cough rises his way up out of him before he can respond. "I could really go for some of that right now," His mother catches the cough and looks at him with a little bit of concern. "Are you okay? Mama told me you were a little sick, are you feeling better? Have you been keeping your fluids up? You better be having some chicken broth or at least some soup," He nods and covers his mouth to cough again. "Yes I have, mom, don't worry. I'm feeling a little better," She nods as his father comes and sits down next to her and looks at the phone, having an apron on from cooking. "Jimin! I assume your mother told you I'm making your favorite. I would give you some if I could, I'll make you a big bowl of it when you come back," "Please, and make sure you get all of the cheese. We can't overlook any flavors,"
Jimin really enjoyed the relationship that he had with his mother and father. They were like best friends, but they also did well to give him the education and guidance that he needed to be who he was. Realizing this, he didn't understand why he was always so afraid to tell them certain things about him. They have never judged him for anything that he has wanted to do, has done, or what he has said before. Why would they start now?
"I do have something to tell you both, something that I should have probably told you a long time ago. I'm bisexual and I have been for longer than I can remember. I didn't tell you because I felt like I would be judged, even though I knew you both probably wouldn't. I didn't mean to keep it from you for so long, but grandma reminded me that you both are my parents and that you should at least know," His parents listened to him before beaming at him, his mother shaking her head. "Oh baby, I always knew that. You didn't even have to tell me," His father nods along with her. "We both knew, mostly because we saw you with that football boy your freshman year. You were all over him so you didn't even notice that we saw," Jimin felt himself flush over the memory. He was head over heels for that football player, especially when they started seeing each other. He remembered talking to him after one of the football games, giving him a hug and kissing him like nobody else was around. Apparently, someone else had been around. More like someones. "We knew you would tell us eventually, we were just waiting until you felt ready darling," His mother tells him gently. "We were never going to judge you, love is beautiful no matter who you are with. We will always support you,"
