(Jamiya's P.O.V.)
Stepping away from Craig, I glanced around the kitchen, but frowned when I couldn't spot out Sadé. Craig snapped his eyes shut and puckered his lips, leaning in for another kiss - but I shoved my hand in his face as I ambled around him and out the kitchen.
“SAD-” I pinned my mouth shut when I heard the front door swing open with full force. My attention moved over to the front door while I observed Sadé panting as she sprinted inside the house, clutching onto Ne’Veah for dear life. She closed the door so hard the walls vibrated.
She allowed Ne’Veah to slip out of her sweaty hands as she bent over and placed her hands on her knees, catching her breath. Knowing she was going to inform me on what happened, I didn’t even bother to ask - but I was sadly mistaken.
Once she regained her breath, she sauntered past me, failing to even make eye contact with me. I spun myself around and stared at her with a blank expression - my vision examining the finger marks that were planted on her neck. “Sadé, what in the world happened to you?”
“Gotta go, can’t talk now!” She hollered over her shoulder as she advanced up the stairs. Jacob must’ve been watching over Sadé, because he rushed past me and followed Sadé up the stairs, his face full of worry.
I shrugged as I picked up Ne’Veah - who was gawking at me, her mouth partly open - then made my way back into the Kitchen. If Sadé doesn’t want to tell me about it, then I guess it’s none of my business.
(Jacob’s P.O.V.)
Sadé must’ve heard me coming up from behind her, because she picked up her pace and scurried into her room. And skipping a few steps, I ascended up the stairs then bolted down the hallway, going directly over to Sadé’s room, stucking my foot in the door way when Sadé attempted to slam the door in my face.
“Open the door,” I said in between grunts. I was flabbergasted by how powerful Sadé’s hold on the door was. She was inches away from closing the door with extreme prejudice, but I used all that was in me to burst past the door and into the room. “What is your problem? Why are you trying to shun me away?”
“I’m not trying to do anything, I simply want to be left alone.” She huffed and crossed her arms tightly over her chest, averting her eyes. “And nothing’s wrong, so don’t even bother asking me that.”
“Nothing’s wrong?” I echoed. “Well according to the red finger prints that are marked on your neck, I’m sure that something is wrong but you’re too stubborn to tell me.”
“I am not stubborn!” She protested, uncrossing her arms and scrunching her eyebrows together.
“Yes you are.” I shot back, taking a step closer to her.
