(Fatoumata's P.O.V.)
You know that sudden feeling you get when you see someone doing something incredibly wrong, but you're too coward to confront them about it because you don't know how they will react? Well that's the kind of predicament I am in right now.
I sharpened my gaze as I glared at Chresanto, he thumbed his fingers through the wad of cash he held in his hands, a grin stuck on his face. I inhaled a bit before I released a frustrated - yet vociferous - sigh, hoping that, that would attract Chresanto's attention.
He tucked in his bottom lip, attempting to veil the wide grin that was threatening to break out on his face -- whoever said that money couldn't buy happiness obviously has not met Chresanto.
"Babe." I tapped his arm with my foot before I cuddled my body up into a ball, wrapping myself in a blue blanket, trying to shield my body away from the cool air conditioning. "Babe!" I repeated, only with a bit more power in my voice.
"Yeah, what." He mumbled. As if he was setting down a new born child, he cautiously placed the overflowing cash down onto the glass table, his arm then reaching out to grab the next stack. In an abrupt motion, he jerked his head over so he was facing me -- finally removing his attention away from the money. "What's wrong, babe?" He brushed his thumb against my cheek as I frowned. So now he cares?
"I'm angry." I remarked. I dodged my head to the left, signaling that I no longer wanted him to touch me.
"How could someone possibly be angry when we have this large amount of cash sitting in front of us just waiting to be spent on material things?!" Trying to be humorous, he let out a soft chuckle. He shifted his attention back over to the money.
I adjusted myself as I tucked my legs under my body and sat on them. "I don't care how much money we have! I can't believe you, Chresanto!"
"What did I do wrong?" His eyebrows knitted together.
My body grew tense at his stupid remark. "Chresanto, you literally gave my child away to some stranger!"
"I didn't give her away to a stranger, I gave her away to Rico!" He shot me a sly smile.
I leaned my body closer to him, causing him to feel a tingling sensation in his cheek as I nonchalantly smacked him. I would have done more, but Chresanto was a lot stronger than me, he'd literally murder me in a split second.
Chresanto stared at me blankly, and it felt as if his eyes were penetrating into my soul. He levitated his hand into the air, receiving the sudden desire to slap me back, but he didn't - he simply collected all of his money, and exited the hotel room to go do God knows what.
My body tilted over and I rested my head on a soft pillow, heaving out a sigh. Ever since Chresanto and I got back together, he has changed - and not for the better.
