I woke up to a blue tv screen and a warm body beside me, I looked down and saw a sleeping Sophia. She was so calm which is unlike herself considering she's bouncy and energetic and crazy. I then realized her arms were wrapped around my waist and her head was on my chest. I was content so I went back to sleep.
Sophia's pov
I woke up with my arms wrapped around Alana my heart fluttered and I tried to slip off the couch with out waking her. Of course I failed she woke up and fell of the couch. We both burst out into laughter. "Sorry." I said putting out a hand for Alana. She room it and I pulled her up, she jumped witch made me loose my balance I almost fell but she caught me.
"We are not klutz's." She pointed out with a chuckle.
"I gotta pee!!" I said loudly running up the stairs.
"I'm making food!!" She yelled to me in response. I just smiled and closed the bathroom door behind me.
Me and Alana sat at my kitchen table eating the oatmeal she made for both of us. I got up to get a drink when I realized I hadn't seen rosy all morning. I started to panick.
"Al have you seen rosy?" I asked worried.
"No, why?"
"Because neither have I." I said looking around in different rooms already. Alan hopped up from her seat and we both started searching my house. The last room I checked was my moms. I opened the door and saw my mom sleeping with her back facing the door.
"Mom." I whispered and that's when I saw the head of a sleepy rosy pop up from behind my mom. I chuckled and Suddenly felt a warm calm presence beside me. I looked to my left and realized how close Alana was to me.
It took everything I had in me to not kiss her right the instead I painfully said "let's go eat she's with my mom.".
Alana's POV
I wish I would have done something then but it would have ruined everything. We were so close to each other how am I gonna keep up this "friend" act.
I finished my breakfast and decided to check my phone. I forgot to let my family know where I was I had so many missed calls it's was over whelming. I called my dad.
[phone call]
Ring ring ring
Ring ring ri-
Dad: where the hell are you!!
Alana: hey I'm really sorry I went to Sophia's and we were watching movies and fell asleep. I'm safe though I'll be home later if that's okay?
Dad:Yes and if you are spending the night again text me and let me know.
Alana:okay bye dad love you.
Dad:bye ally love you too.
[end of call]
I finished that phone call and turned around to see Sophia putting a harness on rosy. "Hey lets go to that new dog park by barks and bakes then we can get her a treat." I suggested to Sophia.
" sounds good,but you should definetly brush your hair first. Oh do you wanna change into the clothes you let me borrow I washed them they are in my room."
"Sure thanks." I said with a small smile and walked up the stairs to Sophia's room.
Me and Sophia were talking while watching rosy play with the cool toys they had for dogs it was really funny. Suddenly Sophia moved to sit cross legged and her leg was slightly on my lap. We sit with our legs on each others laps all the time I don't know why this time it made me blush so hard. "I gotta pee." I suddenly choked out as I got up and rushed to the bathroom.
I splashed cold water on my face trying to forget that I'm in love with my best friend.
Sophia's POV
Alana suddenly rushed away and I don't know why. So I got up and put roses leash on and followed her. No dogs in the bathroom though so I had to wait outside of the bathroom. Alana walked out of the bathroom looking very anxious and shaking. "Alana are you alright?" I asked worried about her.
"Yeah you know how my anxiety acts up can we go back to your place please?" She asked and I automatically said yes. We were a 25 minute walk away from my house and after 5 minutes of walking Alana seemed to be getting worse. Without thinking I grabbed her hand and interlaced our fingers.
She tensed up at the sudden contact and looks at me I looked at her and gave her a reassuring look. She curled her fingers around my hand calming down and we walked the whole way home like that.
We got inside and I unleashed rosy she ran to who know where. Me and Alan were still holding hand and neither of us seems ready to let go. We walked up to my room and sat on my bed letting go of each other's hands. We were sitting facing each other and she just started at the ground. I felt so bad for her because I hate to see her upset. "Alana what bugging you." I asked with a calm voice. She just kept staring at the ground. I tried again " Alana I'm your best friend you can talk to me."
" no I can't I can't talk to you about this if I told you you would hate me or think I'm disgusting or leave me and never talk to me again because it's weird and gross I'm so not normal I deserve to feel all pains that I'm feeling because I'm su-." I couldn't listen to her talk like this anymore. Without thinking I reached my hands up cupping her face and crashed my lips into hers. She didn't kiss back at first. But then she did.
