It's so cold. My every nerve in my body feels as if it has frostbite. If I touch my skin its burning hot but I am as chilled as the tundra.
What is wrong with me. I feel a hand grab mine and squeez. As soon at the hand touches me all the ice in me runs warm.
Who is this. Whos touching me. Why do I feel safe. I crack my eyes open and see...
"Mya?" I ask my voice raspy and hallow.
"Thank God you're awake! Dont move im going to get a nurse." She lets go of my hand and I could feel the cold again. I reach my hand out trying to grab hers again but it was useless; she was already are gone. I feel her warmth fade from me and the deathly chill return to me. I rub my eyes and allow them to focus on my surroundings.
White, why is it so damn white in here. I lift my left arm to grab my phone when I feel a slight tug. I look down at my arm to see thick white goz and rap around it and an IV. I quickly turn to look at my right are and see the same thick white goz.
"Oh thank god you are ok." I turn my head and am meet by a lovely girl with thick brown hair. I read her tag on her white scrubs, Danica with big bold letters saying VOLUNTEER. I slightly glare at her as she comes up to me. "Hun you have visitors do you want me bring them in for you or do you want me to tell them to go?" I raise my eyebrows and slowly nod my head. within a min a cloud of people burst into my room.
" oh my god lexi are you ok?!" A voice yells.
"Um .." I respond as anxiety rises up in to me.
"Don't make her uncomfortable keep your voice down!" Yells another voice. I start to shake and breath heavy.
"Keep your voice down."
"All of you shut up!" Yells the nurse as she walks up to me as I'm in a full blown panic attack. “Shhh, hun its ok.” She says as she strokes my hair softly and calms me down a bit.
“Now if you want to talk to your friend you all need to be calm she is on edge right now.” Danica says sternly and walks out of the room.
I turn my attention to the girls. I see everyone from school but there is a new face in the crowd. She's tall and has big puffy hair that reminds me of a lion with thick black glasses.
“Hi guy.” My voice cracks and sounds weak. “ Whos this?” I ask jestering to the new girl.
“Oh my names Autumn. I wasn't at school when you meet everyone else, I um broughts you cookies, do you want one?” She smiles and shows me a plate of chocolate chip cookies. I look down at the cookies then up at hir.
“ I think we're going to be great friends.” I respond with a smile causing everyone to laugh including me. Maybe I can do this. Mybe I can live.
