Ch 7: First Impressions

We all drive to the hotel we are staying at. I'm rooming with Rowan because of the whole situation, but I don't mind. She and I are really close.

"I'm heading off to Matt's room. Wanna come?" I ask.

"I'll swing by in a little bit." She replies.

"You and Cam need to solve this." I say forcing her to look me in the eyes.

"I know, and we will. I just have to call Corbyn. I told him I would once I'm all  settled in." She explains.

"Fine. You have 15 minutes before I come get you." I warn walking out.

I walk down the hallway and can hear the noise coming from all the guys. I give the door a quick knock and Taylor opens the door.

"Well if it isn't lover boy." He says.

"What?" I ask confused.

"You and Cam's sister. No wonder he looked so annoyed with the both of you."

"Ya and you guys are shearing a room. I don't want to know what goes on in there." Jack G says and everyone laughs lightly.

"Dude, gross. We aren't even dating." I scoff.

"That's cute, they're denying it." Shawn awws.

"Guys, she has a boyfriend." I point out, but they just won't quit.

"Ya, you. We know." Jack J says.

"No, back home. His name is Corbyn. It's not me." I try not to shout.

"Oh, I see, you have a crush on her but she has a boyfriend." Matt says.

"No! We are just friends." I basically yell.

"Ya, we get that. But you want to be more."

Hayes butts in, "Naw, she's not your type."

I feel slightly offended. "She's not yours either. I think she made that very clear to you." All the guys "ooooh.!" Hayes rolls his eyes.

"See you're protective. There has to be something between the two of you." Jack J assumes.

"Is no one else going to comment on how Nash mentioned Rowan and Hayes?" Matt asks.

Rowan's POV

"Hey, babe. How's it going?" Corbyn asks answering the phone.

"As good as it can be I guess."I shrug.

"I'm guessing that you and Cam are still fighting, so who are you rooming with?" He asks.

"Nash, but he's in Matthew's room with everyone else." I reply still sounding slightly upset.

"Hey, look on the bright side, this is getting you ready for the tour life when you become a big star!" He laughs excitedly, making me chuckle.

"I guess, but on tour I'd beg for you to come with me." I smile.

"And I would accept willingly to make sure no one is eyeing my girl." He jokes trying to sound tough. My cheeks turn dark red. "I can tell you're blushing." We both laugh slightly.

"I miss you." I frown sitting down on the bed.

"I miss you too, but don't worry I'm flying out in 2 weeks." He assures me.

"Can't wait."

"Now go socialize, even though I know you don't want to." I grunt in reply. "And smile! Don't forget to smile. You look extra beautiful when you smile."

"Bye bye." I sigh.

"Bye."

I hang up and head for the door. As I walk down the hallway I can see that Matthew's door was mostly open. As I get closer I can hear them talking about me... and Nash... and Hayes. I roll my eyes and turn around. I don't want to deal with that. I go back to my room closing the door behind me. I begin to hum a tune in my head and plop down on my bed. I surf through channels until I find a familiar movie.

Probably 20 minutes later I get a text from Nash.
It's been well over 15 minutes where r u??

I did go but I heard you guys talking about us so I left

For some reason they think I like you and they won't let it go

So you don't like me😢

That's not what I mean, I mean they think I have a crush on you

Oh lol glad I'm not there

I don't want to be here either even Hayes is mad at me now

What do you want me to do about it?

Please come, it will take a load off me
I mean, think of all the things I do for you

Fine
But if they start overly questioning me about it I'm going to slap them

That's fine with me

Nash's POV

"Oh, guys he texting her!" Taylor yells from behind me. "He wants her to come!" They all laugh at me. I don't know how much more of this I can take. This is a great way to start things off.

"Guys, quit it do something else. Like make a vine or something." I plead.

They finally leave me alone when Rowan walks in. Everyone stops and stares at her as she comes and sits next to me on one of the beds.

Before it's too awkward they begin to start up conversations again.

"I can feel the uncomfort coursing through the room." She whispers to me and the both of us giggle.

"I'm glad you came." I say, she smiles. "It may feel uncomfortable now, but it was worse a few minutes ago. I swear I was so close to strangling them."

She raises her eyebrows at me. "Already? Wow I thought it would take at least a week." She jokes.

"Shut up." We giggle. I playfully punch her and rest my arm on the pillows above her.

Hayes POV

Rowan walked in and went right for Nash, maybe the guys have a point. I don't want to believe it.

They are being all giggly like she was Corbyn that one day at school, and we know how that ended. Then he put his freaking arm around her, like he knows she has a boyfriend.

"Dude, stop stareing. It's creepy." Matt wispers to me.

"Sorry, they just don't normally act like this. It's always been Nash and Cameron then Rowan and Me." I sigh.

"What happened?" Matt asks.

"Cam and her got into a big fight when she started dating Corbyn, her boyfriend, but that was a little over a week ago. So it's still pretty fresh. Apparently Nash agrees with her and now Cam's mad at him too." I explain.

"You guys are messed up." He says. I shrug.
