Rowan's POV
Nash went into the bathroom to shower leaving me to sulk in privacy. That is until there is a knock on the door. I see how much of a mess I look like in the mirror and try to compose myself before I open the door. To my surprise when I open the door it's Shawn. He looks nervous.
"Hi." I say confused.
"Hey, uh," he rubs the back of his neck. "I was just in the room next door and I kinda heard you and Nash's... uh... conversation."
"Oh my.... I'm so sorry." I rub my temples in stress. "You're not going to tell anyone right? I know it sounds bad, but if they hear it from you it will be worse."
Nash soon walks out in nothing but a towel, revealing all the hickeys I gave him last night, still shouting. "Who are you seducing now?"
"I can't stand you right now!" I yell back. Disregarding Shawn, I make my way down the stairs not being patient enough to wait for the elevator.
"Rowan, wait." Shawn shouts from behind me.
"No offence, but I don't think you want to get in the middle of this."
"You don't know this about be, but I'm actually a licensed therapist." He jokes, causing me to let out a small laugh. "Come on, I already know they big chunks, why not fill in the gaps?"
"Ok, fine. But please don't tell anyone."
"By the way, where did you think you were gonna go when you ran out of your room?" He questioned giving me a funny look.
"I was probably just going to go sit by the indoor pool." I shrug.
"Then lead the way." He smiles sweetly.
When we get to the lobby we take a peak to see if there is someone at the front desk. There's not, so we make our way down the hall to where the entrance to the pool is. Shawn takes out his room key to get them in.
"How would you have gotten in without your key?" Shawn smirks.
"Ok, I didn't think this through, are you surprised?" I laugh it off.
When we get in the smell of chlorine rushes to us. It's silent besides the faint sound of the small waves in the water crashing against the sides of the pool.
"Wow, I guess it is really peaceful in here." Shawn let's out a deep breath.
I make my way to one side of the pool and sits down, my feet dangling in the water, causing a ripple. Shawn does the same, sitting a respectable distance away.
After a few moments of us taking in the calming silence, something I really needed, Shawn finally says something. "I'm not gonna lie, I here everything that happens in you and Nash's room, you guys are really loud." He admits.
"Oh jeez." I laughs. She looks down, a flush of red appearing on my upper cheeks.
"You're lucky Aaron didn't get back till really late or he would have heard it too, then you two would really be goners." He says.
"Yes, because he doesn't know makes everything ok."
"Hey, I didn't do anything. This is all on you and Nash." He smiles.
"I know, sorry. I just don't know when it all went downhill. It started with the best day of my life. I rode to school with Hayes, just as friends, went to the beach with the photography club, Corbyn kissed me for the first time and walked me home. It was perfect. Then when I entered my house Cameron was there just waiting to scold me. I just brushed that one off, but the next morning he just kept acting like that. He and Nash left for something so I had the house to myself. I just had Corbyn over. Nothing really happened, but when Cam and Nash got home he walked in on us kissing and snapped." I explain, the both of us just watching the water.
"I think Cam just misses you." Shawn jumps in.
"Ya, I know that now. As far as he knows we are good because we hashed everything out last night after Nash and I kissed."
"Why do I feel like there is more to this story?" He asks.
"Wells it's defiantly not the end. After Corbyn left I stormed up to my room. After a while, I still couldn't calm down so I texted Corbyn to meet me in the park. He really knows how to talk me down. We got up to go back because I was a lot more calm then before. I kiss him one last time. Well, it was a little more the just a kiss, and suddenly Cam literally tackles him to the ground. Of couse that ticked me off and all the things that Corbyn told me to calm down were completely thrown out the window. Cam then orders me to go home, but Corbyn was extremely mad at Cam now too so he pulled me back and kissed me so passionately I was speechless. And this went on the whole week before we left for Magcon." I raise my eyes from the water to look at Shawn, trying to see what he was going to say. When I first looked at him his were still watching the waves, processing everything I just told him.
"That explains why Cam was mad at you but that tells me nothing about why you and Nash hooked up, or why Hayes was upset." Shawn points out.
"Ya," I sigh. "Get ready for a long night." Shawn laughs lightly. "Hayes was upset because that day at the beach he asked me out and I said yes, but then only a little later was when Corbyn kissed me for the first time. But that night was so busy I wasn't even thinking about him. It was the next morning when I called it off. That's when he got upset with me."
Shawn still looks a little confused. "So then what does Nash have to do with any of this?"
"Well, it's just that he sided with me instead of Cam, so he was mad. That's why our group was kind of split up. Me and Nash, and Hayes and Cam. Those two were mad at us and we stood by our actions."
Shawn riases his eyebrows, "that still doesn't explain why you and Nash had an affair."
"It wasn't an affair!" I say defensively.
"Well, you see, from the room over it sounded like an affair." He says causally.
"All we did was kiss, I promise."
"Really, because you moaning Nash's name doesn't really sound like 'just kissing' it sounds more like-"
I cut him off. "Shut up, we didn't have sex."
"I mean, I see why you would after that steamy kiss you had during truth or dare that at least 5 people recorded." He says, looking away innocently.
"Wait, that was recorded? It was only like five seconds."
Shawn lets out a loud laugh and scoffs. "That was way more then five seconds. Clearly you haven't seen the video. I guess you and Nash just zoned out while you were hard core making out."
"You're exaggerating." I cross my arms.
"Am I?" He scrunches his nose. "Either way, you have to choose one of them."
"I choose Corbyn. You know that."
Shawn turns his head towards me. "You know if you pick him, you're going to have to tell him what happened with Nash. And of you don't some one else will."
"I know, I just don't know how." I lay down on my back.
