Mystery

On a very ordinary day, you were in the kitchen, making breakfast. You had just finished when you started to smell smoke. You looked around the kitchen, but nothing had been left on or burned. You started to look around the house, but couldn't find the source of the smoke.

No less than five minutes, you were standing on the curb with Mystery and your daughter, your house burnt to the ground in front of you.

Rex

One night, when you and Rex were laying in bed, you were too tired to notice that Rex was getting up.

The next morning, when you woke up, you rolled over and saw Rex wasn't in bed. You got up to go look for him.

You got to the kitchen and noticed a note stuck to the fridge. "Went to the store, be back in 5! Love you!"

At the end of the day, you were sitting by the window, staring at the car still parked in the driveway. The car had been parked there ever since you woke up.

One day, you were picking Melanie up from school. Emerson was sick, so he hadn't gone.

You were pulling out of the parking lot, halfway out, when an 18-wheeler came speeding down the road, apparently not noticing you. You didn't notice it either until it was too late.

You and Melanie were in the hospital for weeks, constantly visited by Alfred and Emerson.

Melanie's funeral was on her birthday.

Kao

You were spending the night at your parents' house one night after a fight you had with Kao.

You were laying in the guest room, trying to sleep, when you noticed a figure move into your parents' room. You thought one of them had gotten up to get something and they were returning to bed, so you shrugged it off and rolled over, falling asleep.

The next morning when you woke up, you were heading to the kitchen to start making breakfast when you noticed your parents' bedroom door was cracked open. You peeked in and screamed.

Their blood covered the walls, floor, and furniture, and their mangled bodies lay in the bed, as if not knowing they were dead.

That day you had been sorry about the fight you had with Kao.
