Hiruzen bit at his lips as he looked on at the burning reckage of the boys apartment. He was tipped off from a Anbu who reported smoke coming from the house at night. When he managed to get to the apartment he was to late and saw the whole apartment ablaze. The entire Anbu and the Hokage was able to put out most of the flames, but all possessions inside were unsalvagable. However it seemed that Naruto or Hyori was not in the building at the time much to the Hokage's relief but knew for a fact where the boys could be... and also what hell might await him.

Meliodas woke up in the middle of the night... His eyes burning a purple fury. He got up quickly and slowly opened the door to his room and closed it slowly.
Now to deal with those damnable villagers.
He walked before he paused... next to him was the room he let Naruto sleep in.. and he was hearing sniffling and shuffling of sheets. His eyes suddenly morphing back into green orbs he slowly opened the door to his room and saw Naruto in one of his Tshirts a little bit bigger then him. The young pre-teen was whimpering into the sheets and tossing an turning.
Meliodas slowly let his hand gently caress Naruto's whiskered cheek and rub it affectionately before he slowly touched the demon mark with his other hand.
Kyuubi.
Meliodas thought making a small rumble come into his mind.
Meliodas. What a surprise.
The ninetails in question grumbled making the blond snicker.
Your not giving him nightmares are you?
He asked as he sent a very miniscule pulse of his demonic magic into the seal making the Kyuubi chuckle slightly.
Of course not. That accomplishes nothing. He's been through a lot, most likely from that.
Meliodas hummed before he slowly pulled his hand away from the mark.
He slowly scooted onto the side of the bed, slowly and carefully picked up the boys head and lightly held the boy... almost like he did it a millions times before.
Meliodas slowly brushed the hair, combing it with his fingertips while Naruto's whimpers died down much more then before...
His eyes opening slightly... seeing Meliodas's face before burying his face into his chest...

A very small whisper echoed from his lips making Meliodas smile slightly as he rubbed his back lightly before whispering...

He lightly layed his head down onto the pillow before closing his eyes.

Naruto woke up with a groan as he opened his eyes slowly. He felt refreshed, he slowly moved his legs over the bed and onto the ground. He looked down and smiled slightly feeling the soft fabrics of Meliodas's shirt before he lightly tip toed across the floorboards. He opened the door before he smelt a aroma. He lightly looked down the steps and in the kitchen he saw Meliodas cooking.
He smiled happily before he jumped over the edge and down to the floor landing on the ground with a small thud.
Good morning~. Eggs?
Meliodas let the eggs on his plate while Hyori, who was sat next to him shook his head quickly making Naruto frown at his strange behavior.
Sure! It looks amazing.
Naruto grabbed his fork and grabbed a piece before shoving it into his mouth making Hyori facepalm himself.
I warned you.
Naruto whimpered at the taste... it wasn't the most pleasant taste... however he chomped it down nevertheless.

Naruto muttered before he did it again and again before he let his fork down.
Meliodas smiled broadly before he heard a knock come from the door.
He hummed out a tune as he walked towards the door and opened is carelessly. Seeing the Hokage he smiled.
Ahh Hokage-sama, do come in.
Hiruzen shuddered hearing Sama on the end of his name, knowing for a fact that he didn't mean it in any way shape or form.
Naruto, Hyori. I'm so glad you were here.
Hiruzen breathed out in relief seeing the two boys uninjured making Naruto frown and look at the kage in confusion.
Your apartment caught fire.
Naruto groaned before he landed his face first into the couch coushin he was laying on.

Meliodas looked over towards Naruto before at the Hokage.

He looked at the kage in the eye making him shudder.
Yes, I will pay back everything you had to reimburse all of your stuff lost.
He reassured the boys making Hyori mutter slightly annoyed before Meliodas smiled at the two.
You can stay with me. It gets lonesome with all these extra rooms collecting dust. Besides... I will make sure my house doesn't burn down.
Meliodas said making Naruto smile slightly and look over at Hyori.

He shrugged his shoulder before Naruto eyes went wide.
Oh gramps! don't worry, I have Tsunade-samas books with me.
He remembered that and wanted to reassure the man.
Hiruzen smiled at the boy.

He joked slightly making Naruto laugh happily.
So he is the one who gave him the books... I suppose I won't.
Meliodas thought before smiling at the boy laughing before hearing
Well.. atleast we dont have to move anything.
He couldn't help but snicker at the dismay in Hyori's voice.
