Gerard took the last few steps up to his front door with Frank still clinging onto him. He needed to unlock the door, trying to set Frank down briefly when the boy let out a shriek and clutched onto Gerard's shirt with an iron grip.

"Don't put me on the grey! It's gonna hurt me!" Frank whimpered, tightening his legs around Gerard's waist.

"It's not gonna hurt you, baby, I promise." Gerard slowly set Frank down so that he was sitting on the little pathway leading to his door. He unlocked it and pushed it open, picking the small boy up again and taking him inside. Gerard kicked the door closed ungraciously, taking note of how Frank jumped at the sound, before setting the boy down on the sofa. Frank's eyes widened and he whimpered as he jumped off the couch and sat on the floor instead, looking at Gerard with scared eyes.

"Only big boys can sit on comfy chairs, 'n I'm not a big boy." Frank said as he still had his eyes locked on Gerard. "If Sir finds out he's gonna be mad."

"Honey, you can sit on the couch, I don't mind." Gerard said as he sat down on the seat himself, patting the spot beside him.

"B-but i'm not allowed." Frank frowned, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"Come, no one will be mad at you, sweetheart." When Frank shook his head, Gerard slipped his hands under Frank's arms and heaved him up onto the space next to him. Frank whimpered once again and tears spilled over his rosy cheeks.

"S-Sir's gonna be s-so mad at me." Frank sobbed as he rubbed at his eyes. "W-when he wakes up f-from his nap he's gonna h-hit me."

"Honey, no. No one's going to hit you." Gerard dried Frank's eyes gently and shuffled over, rubbing up and down his back soothingly.

"Pinkie pwomise?" Frank asked as he held up his little finger, looking at Gerard from under his tear soaked lashes.

"Pinkie promise." Gerard smiled as he hooked their fingers together. Frank smiled and seemed satisfied, his mood seemed to shift in a millisecond as he was now playing with Gerard's hand and giggling every now and again. "Whatcha doing, Frankie?" He chuckled.

"My tummy needs food now, pwease." Frank looked at Gerard again, smiling lightly at him and completely ignoring his question.

"What would you like?" Gerard laughed.

"What you mean?" Frank tilted his head to the side as his eyebrows furrowed, Gerard was slightly confused himself.

"What do you want to eat, honey?"

"Sir only gived me bread and sometimes pancakes on my birthday if I was a good boy." Frank said, still confused.

"Y-you mean you've never had anything else?" Gerard said in disbelief.

"I-I didn't know there was other stuff." Frank frowned as tears collected in his eyes.

"It's okay, shh, don't cry. I'll make you some new stuff to try." Gerard smiled at the boy softly.

"Really? Thank you, Gee!" Frank exclaimed as he hugged Gerard tightly, pulling away before Gerard could even respond. He was honestly stunned by how fast his mood seemed to switch, he was like a little bundle of sunshine.

"You're welcome, sunshine." Gerard smiled, Frank giggling in response. "Let's start off with pizza, ever heard of that before?"

Frank shook his head excitedly, Gerard grabbed his phone and ordered a plain cheese pizza. Once he ended the call Frank was staring at him like he'd just seen a ghost.

"W-what is that." Frank pointed to Gerard's phone, eyes wide and hand shaking.

"It's a phone, you've seriously never seen one before?" Gerard's eyebrows rose slightly in surprise and he gestured to the phone in his other hand.

"Nu-uh," Frank shook his head as he stared at the foreign object. "Sir never had one of those."

"Here look," Gerard opened the camera and pointed it at Frank. "Smile for me, sunshine." Frank smiled widely and Gerard snapped the picture, turning the phone around to face Frank who gasped and grabbed his phone in his dainty hands, giggling and tracing his finger over the picture.

"That's so cool!" Frank giggled happily, repeatedly clicking the home button and swiping between the screens.

The doorbell rang and Frank was too lost in a trance to even notice, Gerard smiled fondly at him before walking over to the door and paying for the pizza. He set it down on the coffee table and opened the box, with Frank dropping the phone in his lap as his stomach growled loudly.

"Here," Gerard ripped off a slice and handed it to Frank, who instantly tried to grab it with his hand in a fist, with Gerard pulling back and shaking his head. "No, Frankie, like this."

Gerard showed him how he was holding it, helping Frank when needed and after a short while he managed to not try and crush it with his small hand. He smiled at the boy and tore off his own slice, eating away contentedly when he noticed Frank pouting at him.

"Why aren't you eating, sunshine?" He asked once he swallowed the last bite, raising an eyebrow at Frank.

"Sir said he gotta finish 'fore I can eat, so was waitin' for you." Frank stated matter-of-factly, like it was obvious.

"No, baby, you can eat." Frank looked slightly nervous as he took the first bite, looking at Gerard to see if he was testing him like Sir had done many times before. As soon as the taste hit his tongue his eyes widened and he greedily ate the whole slice quicker than anything Gerard had ever seen. "Like it?" He chuckled lightly.

"Mhm! Thankies!" Frank smiled, reaching forward and messily picking up another piece; he ate another three before slumping back into the couch with a hand rested on his tummy. "Uh oh." He muttered.

"That's because you ate too much too fast, little boy. C'mon, let me clean you up." Gerard stood, stretching his arms above his head and letting out a satisfied noise once he felt the pop in his back. He scooped Frank up with one arm under his knees and the other around his upper back, carrying him to the bathroom.
