Keith yawned as he lifted the sheets from his bed. Keith got out of bed as the alarm blared. "Shut up." Keith groggily mumbled at the alarm clock. Keith shut off the alarm clock and walked towards the kitchen. Keith put on the kettle and pulled out some milk, tea bags, and some sugar. Keith was more or less the sweet tooth of his family. He looked out the apartment's window as he poured in some boiling water. Then pouring in the milk, finally putting in three teaspoons of sugar. He mixed up his sweet concoction then taking a sip. Keith could hear the birds singing and the wind blowing gently against the window. "Ah, peace and-" Keith breathed out before being interrupted by a ringing phone. "Never mind." Keith grunted. Keith walked towards the noise sounding from his bedroom.
Keith looked at the phone to find Lance calling him. "Hello?" Keith asked. "Hey, um, just wanted to let you know that on your first week, you have to be an hour early. Sorry, I meant to tell you yesterday but I completely forgot. So you need to be here before... 7:30. If you need, I can pick you up." Lance told Keith. "CRAP! I only have half an hour! Jeez! Um! Yeah, could you pick me up, thanks!" Keith said hanging up. Keith dashed around the house getting clothes, getting washed up, etc. Just before it turned 7:25, Keith was done, and Lance was at Keith's house.
"Sorry about all of this." Keith apologized. "It's fine." Lance smiled. "So, not trying to bring bad stuff up, but, how was last night and everything?" Keith asked, looking concerned. Lance didn't respond for a minute. "Yeah, um, well, everything was pretty much ok, I mean, he never came home, and his friend didn't come over either, so it was a plus. So yeah, nothing fun happened last night." Lance joked at the last comment. Keith smiled weakly. "That's good. You know, the offer still stands." Keith said. Lance nodded. "Well, maybe, could I come over tonight, and stay the night?"Lance asked. Keith nodded. "Sure. We could get some pizza in and stuff like that." Keith smiled. Lane smiled back.
