"Alright everyone, dinner is finished." Rosa called from the kitchen, bringing in plates and bowls of food. She set down every plate and bowl of food on the center of the table and sat down at the end of the table. She gathered everyone around to pray. "Dear lord, thank you for providing us with this blessed meal and the blessed day that you have provided for us. And thank you for blessing us with Keith's and Lance's relationship. I pray that you will bless us with another beautiful day tomorrow. Amen." Rosa prayed. Everyone replied by saying amen. Then everyone dug in to the amazing meal.
There was all types of food, from all types of the world, which all eventually ended up being eaten. Lance and Keith were stuffed. Everyone had moved to the backyard to talk and socialize. It was at least sixty degrees out. "Hey babe?" Keith called. Lance turned. "Yeah." Lance replied. "Could you get my jacket?" Keith asked. Lance nodded, heading inside. Instead of getting Keith's jacket, he went upstairs and got his plush blanket. Lance then came outside and wrapped the blanket around Keith. Keith thanked Lance. Lance then pulled his chair close to his boyfriends chair. Lance pressed a kiss to Keith's cheek. Some of the adults awed. Lance snuggled close to Keith. Keith then got up. Lance was confused. "Hey, sit in the chair and take the blanket. I'll sit on your lap." Keith told Lance.
Lance sat down on the plush seat, wrapping the blanket around himself, leaving some room on his lap for Keith. Keith sits down facing Lance, then nuzzling his head into Lance's neck. Lance wrapped the blanket around Keith and kissed his forehead. Lance layed his head on Keith's head, closing his eyes and enjoying the peaceful environment. Then Sofia ran up to the couple. "Hey, Keef? Can you play with me and Marco and my cousins?" Sofia asked. Lance then picked his head up and was about to tell Sofia off before Keith turned his head around and nodded. Lance whined at the loss of warmth. Keith smiled, giving his hand out. Lance took it and picked himself up out of the chair. Keith picked up Sofia and asked her a question. "So, what are we playing?" Keith asked. Sofia smiled. "Tag, now your it." Sofia giggled, then jumping out Keith's arm. Keith chuckled then running slowly after Sofia to give her an advantage.
Lance smiled at his boyfriend. Lance walked over to Rosa. "Is Veronica here yet?" Lance whispered. Rosa nodded. "She's in the house right now." Rosa confirmed. Lance thanked his mama and ran inside. "VERONICA!" Lance screamed, running to Veronica. Veronica turned around and braced herself for the bear hug she was going to get. Lance clung himself to Veronica. "Hey bud. How are you?" Veronica asked. "Good, actually really good." Lance replied. Lance then let go of Veronica. "So, is your lucky man here?" Veronica asked. Lance nodded. "Well, I got what you asked for." Veronica said, handing Lance two sliver rings, one with a ruby on one and a sapphire on the other. "Veronica...T-this is amazing...T-thank you s-so much." Lance stuttered, tears daring to fall. Veronica smiled sweetly. "No prob, anything for you bro." Veronica said sweetly.
Lance put Keith's ring in a velvet box, then his in his pocket. Veronica softly punched Lance's shoulder. "You ready bro?" Veronica asked. Lance nodded rather quickly, getting a little dizzy after. "Alright, I'll send signal." Veronica replied, taking out her phone. Lance put the box away out of sight. Lance thanked her and walked out into the backyard. As soon as he got out into the backyard, fireworks were going off in the distance and some kids had sparklers going. Keith even had a sparkler, still playing with the kids. Lance waved at Keith from the patio. Keith smiled and waved back. Lance walked over to Sofia. "Oye, ¿puedes decirle a mamá que encienda las luces?" (Hey, can you tell mom to turn on the lights?) Lance asked. Sofia nodded running over to Rosa then telling her something, Rosa then turned on some red and blue fairy lights scattered around the backyard. Rosa then took a wine glass and a fork and clanged them together to silence the surrounding noise. Lance thanked Rosa. Keith stopped what he was doing and looked at Lance, who was approaching him. Lance stopped in front of Keith, taking Keith's hand in his. "Keith, do you remember what I said the night we started dating?" Lance asked. "Not really." Keith answered.
"Well, I said, that I wanted to take you to my special place so I could show you all the special things in life, that I wanted to show you the things I valued in life, to live this life and the next together, so Keith, ever since that night, I told you to wait and then maybe you'd understand. And Keith over the two years we've been together, I know for a fact you understand now. So, Keith, I want to show you things unlike anything you've ever seen, to show you something special every day, to give you the love you deserve, Keith, will you do me the honor of being mi amor for this life and the next?" Lance proposed, on one knee, pulling out the velvet box and opening it slowly. "Will you marry me?" Lance asked, showing Keith the ring. Keith had tears running down his face and the biggest blush spread right across his face. Keith covered his mouth and nodded quickly. "O-of course you dummy." Keith cried, running into Lance's arms.
Everyone cheered as the newly engaged couple shared a passionate kiss. They then seperated, Lance taking the ring out of the box and slipping it onto Keith's finger. "It's beautiful." Keith smiled. "Thank my family, they helped me plan my proposal." Lance replied, kissing Keith's forehead. Keith then hugged Lance tightly, surrounding themselves in the moment. "Keith..." Lance called. Keith hummed. "I love you, samurai." Lance smiled again. "I love you too, sharpshooter." Keith replied, nuzzling himself into Lance's embrace. I love you to the moon and back.
