CHANYEOL'S POV

I massage Baek's head until he falls asleep. I go downstairs to his kitchen to make him something to eat. As I was chopping red onions, Bom enters the kitchen from the back door. I wave at her.

"Hi, Chanyeol," she says

"Hi. How are you?" I ask

She sighs, "I'm pretty sure Baek already told you what happened"

"Yeah, where is Mr. Byun now?" I ask

"At the police station," she says

Baekhyun's dad is at the Police station

I take a deep breathe, "Wow... Poor Baekkie"

"Yeah, after Baek was knocked out. Sungjae called the police. We didn't know until they arrived. Sungjae convinced Mrs. Byun to press charges on Mr. Byun so she did and that's why they went to the police station. I had to be there myself since Mrs. Byun wants to get a restraining order as well once Mr. Byun gets bailed out. She wanted me to tell the Police officers what I have witnessed over the years... and unfortunately, I know a lot..."

"But this is good for Baekhyun, right? He won't get hurt anymore from his father anymore," I say

Bom smiles, "Yes... Baek is safe now. Thank goodness. Here"

She takes the kitchen knife from me, "I'll finish this up. Why don't you go upstairs and tell Baek the good news?"

I smile at her, "Thanks"

I wash my hands and head upstairs to Baekhyun's room

I open the door. I see Baekhyun sitting up on his bed, hugging his knees, and facing the window, his back facing me.

"Baekkie?" I say

I hear Baekhyun sniffle, "Channie?"

He turns around, he's crying

He jumps out of bed, runs to me and hugs me tightly, "I thought you left me"

"Baekkie, calm down. Please don't cry. I can't stand to see you like this," I hug him

He releases me from the hug and looks up to me. I give him a small smile.

He looks at my lips and then back to my eyes. He closes his eyes and tippy toes.

I lean down until our foreheads touch. I tilt my head and our lips brush up against each other.

I close my eyes but then quickly open them again.

I straighten my back and quickly look around the room and then look towards the door.

No sign of Seunghyun or Bom. Good

I look back to Baekhyun. He looks at me with his eyebrows knit and a half-amused expression.

"What are you doing?" he asks

"Just making sure no one's around to ruin our moment like the other times," I say

He laughs and nods.

He was about to say something but I quickly grab the back of his neck and kiss him.

He takes a second to respond to my kiss

I can't help but smile against his lips when he finally kisses me back.

I put my hands on his waist while he wraps his arms around my neck.
