After passing the security gate and a minute of maneuvering through the halls,  Liam and I got to the laboratory. We were immediately greeted by Dr. Cromwell himself. "Hello, boys! There's no need to fill in for me today, and everything is taken care of."

I looked at the older gentleman in front of us claiming to be Dr Cromwell. However, he gave us a look up and down as if it were our first meeting.  I simply shrugged it off, and nodded.  "Liam, want to hang out with me in my apartment?"

"If there are snacks, there's no reason to refuse!" He said, rushing to the front doors, which let a smile emerge on my face.

"Have a nice day, Doctor." I said, but he simply started at me. His gaze felt... empty. Lacking of emotion or familiarity.
