"Unca' Chri,' look at me!"
Your attention moves away from Chris to the source of the screaming, a grin playing on your lips at the sight. Your little boy, James– had dressed himself up in his little Thor costume that he would constantly wear whenever Chris, or honestly– any of the cast members of Avengers would come to visit. He was a fanatic of the marvel movies just as much as you were and finding out you two were visiting his favorite uncle, he practically begged you to bring it along on the trip.
"Well won't you look at that? You're getting so big James!" Hemsworth grinned as he scooped the little boy into his arms. You felt a tug on your heart's string at the sight of your two-year-old son; he was a spitting image of his father and every time one of the cast mates of the Avengers would come to visit, they'd pester you– push you forward to come clean. Just before James had bounced himself in and interrupted your conversation–Chris had already been pestering you about it, saying that he deserved to know.
To tell Tom the truth–the truth as to why you fell off the radar two years ago; why've you left the man you've come to call as your best friend without a single goodbye– he didn't even know where you were. All he knew was you've left the country and hadn't looked back, not bothered with his feelings. And honestly, this crushed him but he would never have admitted it to his friends. You had become his rock, the person who constantly pushed him to strive for success. Even though he had met you through Chris, you were practically closer to him. He would always seek you out, and vice versa.
You fell in love, harder than you had expected– more than you should have. You secretly held a light for Tom, he had a special place in your heart–but he never returned those feelings. It broke you, honestly. Though, Tom never knew about your feelings–he was too blind to see them and you were better off that way. You didn't want your friendship to get awkward so you kept quiet, and truthfully you didn't mind being called the best friend that was there for him. That was more than enough for you.
Little did you know though–he reciprocated those feelings, in the most subtle ways.
Oh yes, that's right.
Tom Hiddleston is the father of your little two-year-old son.
How did that happen? Let's roll back a bit.
It happened during the after party of the year– everyone who was close to the cast of the Avengers was invited, that included you. They had finally finished filming and had decided, what the heck? Why not throw a party?
You were upset that day– not only did you get in a fight with your parents about your career choice, but you had a spat with Tom as well and neither of you have spoken a word to each other since the day before and it honestly made you want to punch a wall.
You didn't bother the protests coming from both Chris Evans and Hemsworth, that the alcohol intake was enough. You ignored them– that as soon as they were out of sight, you got more until you were practically wasted.
You didn't even know that Tom did the same thing–across the room, he barely associated with anyone and kept on drinking. He was upset that he hadn't heard a word from you since the fight and he was beating himself up for it. He wasn't used to your silent treatment–since you always would give in shortly. You never ignored him for more than an hour, this time it was more than a day and it was beating Tom up badly.
It wasn't his fault that you were in a foul mood when he approached you with his equally foul mood. Things got out of hand, hurtful words were thrown–the next thing you knew, you were out of his place; not even bothering to look back.
