Michael boarded the private jet to go to Liberia. He had been invited to come to a Humanitarian's Ball by the president, Nelson Mandela. He was so excited to meet him for the first time. He honored his hard work and thought he was one of his important role models.
"Sir, your stuff is all on the jet. We are ready to depart." his bodyguard said
"Ok. Thank you Jerry. You can tell Frank that we're ready to go." Michael said smiling. MIchael put on his glasses and looked out the window. He couldn't wait to go to his favorite place in the world.
Frank got on and sat across from Michael "MIke, we're taking off now. We should get there in a couple of hours. When we land we're gonna head straight to the hotel." Frank said.
"OK Frank. I think Im just gonna get some sleep. I wanna be well rested when I get off this jet." Michael said turning over and putting his blanket over his head. Damn Frank won't give him a break.
A couple hours later MIchael woke up. He wasnt tired anymore and decided that he'd have a little fun the last few hours on the plane. Frank was snoring and John's mouth was wide open. MIchael took a can of whipped cream from the mini fridge and sprayed a little in John's mouth. Then he sprayed a little on Frank's nose.
MIchael giggled at the two of them and layed back down. Soon time passed and he went back to sleep.
They landed in Liberia in the early morning. Jerry and Howie got off the plane to meet up with other guards. John woke up and found whipped cream ozing from his mouth. "What the hell?!" he said confused. Frank woke up at his voice and felt something funny on his nose. He thought it was a bug so he smacked his nose really hard. All he found on his hand was whipped cream.
"Michael dammit!!!! THAT KID! HE'S GONNA GET IT!!!" Frank said storming out the jet. "Boy oh boy. MIchael will be Michael." John said following him.
Michael pretended to sleep, and waited until they left. He jumped up and laughed his ass off. f He couldnt wait to see what Franks "comeback" was. "Probably nothing stellar" Michael thought.
Everybody rushed to the car and headed to the hotel. "Man we have some work to do." John said. Michael rolled his eyes and looked out the window. "Do I EVER get a break?!" Michael questioned.
"Unfortunately, the life you have doesnt require any breaks" Frank replied. "Whatever Frank. That's why you had whipped cream dangling from your nose like boogers. Have a little fun once in a while will ya?" Michael said back
They arrived at the hotel and headed to their floor. They were sharing it with a prominant Liberian doctor and his small family. MIchael didnt mind of course. Everybody headed to their rooms to get ready for the ball.
MIchael got in the shower and put on a red shirt with his black belted jacket, and some black slacks. Karen did his hair into tight curls, and put on his fedora. He met Frank and John outside of his room.
"Ready to go MIke?" Frank asked "Yeah. Let's go." he replied. They all got in the car and headed to the ball.
There were alot of people there. Some were talking about how they could help stop world hunger, and some were signing up for raffles. Michael felt so alone, because he usually didnt speak to "regular" people often. He just sat as his assigned table until it was time for the speech.
Just then people crowded the door. Michael looked over and saw the same doctor that was on the same floor as him. He was with his wife and his son it looked like. Then, another girl walked in, and the doctor grabbed the girl's hand. She looked like his daughter.
The girl was a little bit shorter than Michael. She had natural long curly hair. She was wearing a light blue dress that included a small train. Her smile beamed as she looked into her father's eyes.
"Wow...shes beautiful" he thought. "Hot damn! Look at that fine thing over there!" John said.
"Ehhh...shes alright" Frank said boldly.
MIchael just stared at her. She was stunning. She walked over to her family's table alone. She sat there looking sad and lonely, just like Michael. She looked up and MIchael cut eyes with her. She immediately smiled and looked down. Michael however kept smiling at her, waiting to meet her eyes again.
The girl got up and walked to the bar across from the table. She sat and talked to a girl sitting next to her. "I gotta talk to her. I cant let her get away" Michael said. He got up and walked to her. His heart started beating faster and faster. She saw him approching her and smiled.
"Hi....Im Michael." he said shyly
She looked into his eyes and smiled. "Im Naielah. (pronounced "ny-e-lah")" she said shyly
"Can I sit down with you?" Michael asked. "Sure" she said calmly
Michael and Naielah talked for hours. Her father was a famous doctor in her hometown in Liberia, and her mom was a nurse in Hawaii, but quit because she fell in love with her father, and came here to marry him. She also told him that she was a nurse, but her dream was to be a doctor like her father.
"Wow Naielah. You have a true passion for the medical field." Michael said.
"Yes I do, I see my dad saving lives everyday. He's a true inspiration to me." she said
They danced together and Michael even exchanged words with her family. Naielah though Michael was sweet; th perfect gentalman. The ball was over and Michael was beat. He had to get Naielah's number so he could keep in touch.
She gave him her number and went home. She felt a warmth in her heart. She had never met a guy like him. He was a perfect gentalmen the whole night. She also had alot in common with him. "Now Naeilah, dont get excited over Michael. Toby still wants to marry you. Just think... you'll be married to a rising doctor such as I. Dont worry my daughter. He is the one for you." her father said
Naielah begged to differ. She wanted to give things a shot with Michael. She couldnt wait for his call.
