*Rose's P.O.V*
"Why the fuck didn't you tell me that 'Jack' was Kaden?!! We just put our future alpha in danger. Do you know how much trouble we've gotten ourselves into?" I yelled at my mate. We were in the living room of his place.
"I'm sorry, but I told you why I couldn't tell. Kaden didn't want the sister of his mate to go and tell his secret." Asher explained.
"I wasn't going to tell. Now we've gotten ourselves into some real shit. I can't imagine what Alpha Bale will say when he finds out that Kaden's gone. He'll definitely want to kill us now."
"Hey, he won't hurt you. I will be there to protect you and you're family. I love you." He kissed my forehead.
"I love you, too," I said nuzzling closer to him on his couch and laying my head on his shoulder. "But we're going to have to save them. But we can't do it by ourselves."
"Who's going to help us? Everyone that comes to mind are either injured, want no part in it, or hate us."
"We'll try to convince them as much as we can. We have to hurry. Everyone's lives are at stake here."
We heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I looked up to find my dad, who we've laid in the guest room, awakened and confused.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Are you okay now, dad? Do think you can recall who did this to you?" I asked. He sat down in a smaller couch shaking his head.
"All I remember is trying to leave the woods and being angry. That's it."
"Sir, a friend of mine and your daughter have been taken away by Kenneth. We were hoping that maybe you can ask your past pack members if they can join us in taking him down." Asher spoke up.
"They won't listen to me."
"But, dad, I thought you were their alpha. They should help you." I insisted.
"I was their alpha. Was. I let them all leave the pack and go their separate ways. They all have their own lives now. I can't just barge into their lives and tell them to come to battle."
"There are lives at risk here. We can't just turn our backs and pretend that this isn't happening. The later we stop this mess, the more damage will be created. We need them, dad. Two innocent people have been captured by an evil man and one of them is your daughter. Doesn't that motivate you enough? We. Have. To. Try." I finished my rant.
Asher and I stared at my dad waiting for an answer with anticipation.
"You're right," He said after a while. "We'll ask the others, but it's not going to be easy for them to accept."
-------------------------------------
With the help of my dad, we called up as much of his pack members as possible to meet us in the front of the school, which was across the street of the woods. We all stood there waiting for them and losing faith.
"Where are they?" I asked impatient.
"I told you that this wasn't going to be easy, Rose. We'll have to face him by oursel---" My dad cut himself off when he saw Alpha Bale walking towards us. "What are you doing here?" My dad began.
"Asher called me and told me that my son has been kidnapped. If it hadn't been for you daughter..." Alpha Bale accused.
"Don't you fucking finish that sentence? My daughter has no fault in this. And I will not blame your son for this either. Instead, I blame you."
"Me? For protecting my family."
"No, for endangering mine."
"Stop! You both need to stop all this fighting. You're daughter," I pointed at my dad then at Alpha Bale. "And you're son are being held hostage to Kenneth who ruthlessly kills for pleasure. Fighting won't help heal your hearts from the past, but getting revenge from the man who started it all. Fighting will just keep you one step back and stop you from saving your kids and maybe would even repeat the past that involved losing someone you care about."
"She's right. We're acting immature about this situation. We need to keep our minds focus on the real issue." Alpha Bale apologized.
"I agree. We did handle the situation the wrong way." My dad said.
"See now you two are acting like grown ups." I said.
"Look people." Asher pointed.
"Those are my old pack members." My dad explained.
It was a large group of them. About 50 to 70 of them came up to us. All of us were wearing big coats as protection from the cold evening air.
"Jonah, what is this all about? I thought we said our fighting days are over." A tall muscular man with brown hair who appeared to be in his late 20s spoke up.
"Actually, I ask him to call you all. Kenneth is going too far. He is getting stronger and if we don't stop him now, he'll only get worse." I answered.
"We're sorry but we can't fight anymore. It's not that we don't care for you all, but we want to protect our own family. " The man said.
"What is your name, sir?"
"Kevin."
"Kevin. Kevin as in Uncle Kevin? My dad's best friend from when my dad and you were in the police force, Uncle kevin?"
"Rose? You're alive." Kevin said.
"Yes, why wouldn't I be? All I did was ran away." I asked confused.
My dad cleared his throat. "After you're mother died and the ongoing war between us and the other wolves got even more intense and they were coming at our members and at you two. The only way I thought to end this feud was to tell the wolves that you and you're sister died and then I let my pack members go free and start their lives over."
"What? Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I just wanted the past to be the past. I quit being a police officer and I started working as an accountant, which I'm still learning how the job actually works. I also didn't contact Kevin during our first battle with Kenneth because I knew he would recognize you and everyone would know that you're alive. So that's why when I asked my pack members for help I told you to avoid talking to them or they would recall who you were."
"We'll talk about this later," I said to my dad, then turning back to the group. "Kevin...Everyone. I know that you all are tired of fighting. But we have to stop Kenneth. All our lives will be at risk if we don't end it now. He already took my sister and future alpha/friend away from me. No one is going to be safe. He knows where we all are. Before you know it, he'll come and take away the people you love and make you go through insane measures only to hurt you all over again. Not only does he take away our loved ones, but he took our freedom and happiness. We have to try to take him down. You don't have to fight...but I know this is something I have to do and it has to be done."
The pack members all look at each other than all nodded their heads in acceptance and appreciation then all cheered giving loud war cries.
"Let the war begin." I smiled.
