The was beginning to spend a lot of time with Dom and his cousins. Meanwhile, Jan was spending almost everyday with Joe. So, I didn't get to hang out with her too much, anymore. I had lost one of my best friends to Joe.
It didn't bother me that much. It was just when I got home, I didn't rush to her room to tell her what I did that day, like I normally did. Sometimes I'd tell Kat, because she'd pester me, asking what I did today.
One particular day started off extremely well. Dom picked me up at around 3:00 o'clock. He picked me up and spun me around, kissing me.
"Someone's happy today." I said once he put me down. He grinned at me, which was something I missed. His stitches were beginning to dissolve, so he could give the signature half smile.
"Because I get to see you, baby." He kissed my cheek and then opened the passenger side door. I sat down, he closed the door, and made his way to the driver's side.
I always loved being with Dom. He gave me this electric feeling that buzzed through me like a million bees. I always took a glance at him, because his face was just so pleasing to look at. It was so perfect, and it made me frustrated for some reason. Probably just because I hadn't the slightest idea how someone could be so perfect.
Sophia and Frankie were sitting at the small table next to the kitchen when Dom and I got in. I was told that Vince and Dom's grandma went to the hospital to visit Maria, so they weren't here.
They smiled at me and each gave me waves. I waved back and Dom and I went to sit with them.
In front of us sat a pepperoni pizza from a pizzeria called Attilio's. It smelled so good, I was afraid I might start drooling. There were already about 6 slices missing.
"You guys got pizza I see," I said.
"Well, we kind of ate some of it... but we saved some for you!" Frankie said, pushing the box towards me.
Dom scoffed, "Shut up, Frankie... we ate this before I wanted Margaret to come over."
Sophia laughed and pointed at Frankie, "Ha, stop trying to make it seem like you stopped everyone from eating it, just for Margaret."
Dom cleared his throat, "Okay, then.. Here ya go, Margaret."
I took a piece. Biting into it was indescribable. I think it was the best pizza I've ever tasted.
"Mmm..." It escaped my mouth while I chewed the pizza. Dom chuckled, and Frankie stared intently at me, grinning. It was quite odd.... and super uncomfortable.
I ended up having two pieces... I felt unladylike for doing so, but I couldn't help it. And it was just them, so I didn't care that much.
Dom wiped my mouth with a napkin afterwards, and Frankie looked away.
"Uh, Dom dontcha think that's a little... I dunno, weird?" Frankie said, scratching his head. I gave him a dirty look.
"Frankie, stop being jealous." I said and brought Dom's hand back up to my mouth. Frankie rolled his eyes.
"Oh, please. Jealous of what? That I'm not dating Dominic?" Frankie laughed at his own... 'joke'. Dom squinted at him.
"Alright, stop being gross, please."
Something on my shirt caught my eye and I groaned.
"Ah, darn, I got sauce on my shirt," I stood up. "I'm gonna try to wash it out."
I went into the bathroom and used some soap and hot water on the stain. Luckily my shirt was a plum color, so it wasn't too noticeable. But you could still see it.
