Chapter 12

~Nina's POV~
"Yes T'challa" I answered my bracelet "Imani we nee-" I knew exactly what he was going to say. "I'm not coming back to Wakanda" I said before he could finish his statement "Imani my Father is dead and I will be crown king soon" he said. I could tell he was a little hurt but what I was going to say is going to hurt him a little more "I'm sorry for your lost but I'm still not coming to Wakanda" he wasn't a little hurt just disappointed now. "Ok I see you another time Imani" he said.

Did I care about King T'Chaka? Yes very much but I can't go to Wakanda. My dad died there that's why Me, Her & Elizabeth had to leave we would've took my older brother M'Baku but he was too stubborn and decided he wanted to stay. When we left Wakanda I was 5 years old and Elizabeth was 3 years old but my brother was 11 years old. Of course, Elizabeth doesn't remember she doesn't even know her Wakanda name all she knows is her name is Elizabeth but it isn't Elizabeth it's Nailah. All Elizabeth knows is that our Father left us. It hurts me to lie to her but Me & Brother thought it was best to not let her get in the mix about Wakanda.

Destiny was sleep and Erik was gone. I was a little suspicious because I went to sleep at around 12am so when I wake up he'll be here but I woke up to early. It's 4am and no sigh of Erik. I called his phone and no answer. Where the fuck is this nigga. I texted Steelo and he ain't seen Erik either. Now something up. I laid back down looking at the ceiling. Why do I always get caught up in the wrong shit. First it was My mom, then I get raped, then I get in a car crash, then I get kidnapped and almost sold, now I'm on pills where I lowkey don't have fucking feelings. I think about what would happen if it was all over and no more shit was to happen just peace but I have my little baby and her father damn sure don't give a fuck about her so I have to be here for her.

Now I'm not even sure if I'm stressed. I keep denying it of course because I don't wanna say it that's I'm depressed or going through depression cause I don't believe. After awhile I fell asleep.

10:00am
I woke up because Destiny wanted to watch Chuggington. Something is off its Now 10:00am and Erik still isn't here. This happens a lot now and now I'm just straight suspicion like where the fuck do this nigga be going. My step-sister was coming over to see Destiny. I don't like her at all she thinks she's above everybody and she don't like me ever since I so called stole her "High school crush" I been told her she can have him she was a big ass punk and didn't go. That's her fault NOT MINE.

Somebody knocked on the door and I thought it was her so I opened the door but it was somebody else looking for Erik.

"Is Erik here?" She asked. I just looked at her she was brown skinned like she was a fresh American with a colonizing family. Her hair was in a ponytail and after a while I finally spoke "Who are you" she looked at me as confused as I looked at her "I'm Linda his girlfriend who are you?" I wanted to smack her but I'm not mad at her. IM LIVID WITH ERIK "oh that's cute. How long y'all been together?" I asked and she looked at me like she ain't wanna tell but she did anyway "3 months" I was shocked as shit but this bitch was real bold "Ok Lily he ain't here right now but I'll make sure I'll talk to him" I said in the most sarcastic voice and shut the door in her face. Of course I didn't tell Destiny she'd be disappointed since she sees Erik as a fatherly figure.

I called Skyler so I grab my stuff out of his house.
"Yea Nina"
"Imma kill him I swear to go imma kill him"
"Why what happened?"
"First he ain't come in here all night"
"Ok continue"
"Then some bitch came to the door I'm thinking it's my bitch of a stepsister but whole time it's this girl name Li- umm That bitch name ain't important right now"
"Say no more me and Liz on our way"
"Lemme start packing"
"Is destiny there?"
"Yea she in the living room watching T.V"
"Ok I'll be over there"
"Ok" I said and we both hung.

Why everything gotta happen to me like I don't deserve this. I felt a ring on my wrist and it was shuri.
"Yes shuri"
"M'Baku & T'Challa had a challenge ritual"
"T'Challa won I'm guessing because you are smiling really hard"
"Yes my brother won"
"Well I'm dealing with things right now"
"Where's the little one at"
"She's in the living room"
"Queen Mother wants to meet her"
"I can't take her to Wakanda not right now at least"
"Ok fine we all wanna see her though Imani & we also wanna see Nailah"
"Nailah isn't ready and I'll see when I'll be able to come back"
"Ok"
"Bye Imani"
"Bye Shuri"

I hung up and grabbed my duffel bag and started packing. I grabbed my makeup bag and more. After awhile I heard Erik come in the house. He came to the room and stood there frozen. "Where are you going Nina" he asked. I just glared at him and continue to pack I'm not in the mood to argue with him right now especially since my daughter is in the living room and I don't like her hearing my arguements at all. "Nina" he said again but it was calm and I knew since he said it so calmly he was mad. "Erik don't say my name I don't know you" I said and he laughed historically. "Ok I'm guessing you met Linda" he said and kicked his shoes off. The fuck was that supposed like he knew I was meeting her today.

"Wow you real bold cool don't worry bout me no more" I said and I know Erik won't let me go that easy but this time he just sat there and watched me leave out of the grabbing more things. "Come on destiny we gotta leave baby" I said picking her out and grabbing her car seat this nigga couldn't get anymore bolder he sat right there and held the door open and when he opened the door Skyler & Elizabeth was right there. "I had more respect for you Erik way more Respect you wild as shit" Skyler said grabbing Destiny car seat.

Elizabeth just sat there and glared as he sat on the couch and watched us Leave. I packed 4 duffel bags so Livid wasn't the fucking word. I'm not even pissed or angry. Nothing but hatred Filled my body and that's when my eyes flashed gold and back to normal. Skyler seen it and calmed me down before something happened "Chill out grab your bags and let's go" she said whispering in my ear.

11:30pm
We was currently in Skylers apartment. Her and Steelo was talking in her room and I was trying to calm down while Destiny was watching T.V. I need to go back and get my damn car keys because I knew that my powers was going to flood at me if I drive and I'm not risking that especially if I had my daughter.

"Liz can you drive me down there so I can get my car" I asked a little more calm. "Yea come on" she said grabbing Skyler's car keys. "Come on baby girl" I said to Destiny. "SKY WE BE BACK!!!" I yelled.

The drive wasn't that quiet but it was enough I just needed peace. "Nina why did your eyes flash gold" she asked and I just turned to her. "I'll tell you later" I answered as we pulled up the apartment. I went upstairs and unlocked the door.

Surprisingly, Erik was sitting there on the couch in the darkness. I could see him a little bit because of the moon shining through the blinds and he had the wind blowing in which made the curtains flow with the wind. He sounded like he was crying at first and he just pointed to where my car keys were. I went and grabbed them and before I could reach the door he grabbed my wrist.

"Nina can I explain"

I have a feeling y'all not going to like me cause of this chapter😂 but y'all gotta let him explain we don't his hurt and he doesn't know how much hurt Nina is so let them be in there stubborn ways right now and I bet the going to be boo'd up again in the next few chapters or I don't know😂 I might be tricking y'all and maybe Nina just goes to Wakanda and then again don't take my word I still might be tricking y'all but she is going to have to tell Elizabeth about her powers.
