The Roomate

Extended Version

As I walked in to my new apartment with a heavy box in my hands, I noticed someone sitting at a small, round wooden table, drinking a beer.

"Tony," he says.

"Emma," I replied. I set my box down to shake his hand.

"It's strange... all my previous roommates seem to still be here. Maybe it's just the amount of stuff they've left behind."

"Maybe it's their ghosts," I joked.

After some conversation, I walked into my room and started unpacking. I noticed a random door off to the side. "Don't open the door in there," I heard Tony call from the living room. Curiosity got the best of me, and I opened the door anyway. I gasped as I noticed jars of human ears, eyes, fingers, and many other body parts.

In shock, I gasped, "What is this?!"

"My roommates," I heard from behind me, as I felt a sharp, stabbing pain in my back and darkness consumed me.

Hey guys! If you haven't read the description, this is a compilation of short stories from prompts from an account I started following on Instagram. I've posted an "Instagram version" which is the version that is under the word count limit, and an "extended version" that is longer, and (hopefully) better (I write too much, so when I go back I have to take out a lot. But I'm going to post both versions :3). I don't know how often they post writing prompts, but I've turned on post notifications and will try to write each one :D

If you want to follow them as well, their user (on Insta) is @creepycabin (I don't know about other social media sites)

Thank you SOOOOOOO much for reading, and I'll see you in the next story! BYEEEEEE!!!

~ Snowyyyy :D
