Had Bo-Bo swan been just a normal run of the mill vampire currently pursuing her mopey, grumpy elder brother, Joan felt as though things would have been much different. The new 'member' of the Cullen clan would have been accepted with open arms, it would have taken much less time to adapt. But alas this was not the case. Isabella Swan was your average human being youthful and full of strange dreams and desires. Oh and that stupid smell that came along with the free flowing blood that coursed through her veins was also not desirable.

Joan had felt sympathy for the love of her life for he had to deal with all six of the coven's blood thirst not just his own. But he had controlled it and she had spent most of her time when she wasn't physically on the field batting on trying to knock the other members of the team out, just admiring him and how carefree he seemed at the current time. Despite this lingering thirst for the human girl's blood.

The scent wasn't like it was easy to ignore either. Even Joan, who had never tasted human blood before or even been involved with the death or killing of a human could sense it. It over powered even her own senses yet he did not feel a great urge to drink the girl dry she was rather convinced the girls rather annoying personality had probably tainted the taste turning it sour and therefore, would be a waste of her even attempting to break her current diet that she had been on nearly 70 years.

The game the family had been playing had been going spiffingly well for a while now. Joan had even managed to embarrass old grumpy by catching the ball he had hit and therefore rendering him out of that round. This had been until their playing had been overheard by a group of nomads. Nomad was not a term Joan was overly fond of, for it directly meant that they had not set homestead nowhere they called a permanent residence. Yet, from what she had experienced in the prior year neither did she. Sure they set up permeant residence's for a couple of years but then often found themselves moving from place to place within four to five years due to superstition and the ever eager eyes of the humans they surrounded themselves with.

This group of nomads consisted of three rather different looking individuals. Actually, they kinda reminded her of that pop group 'The black Eyed Peas' as she took in the appearance, the one blond haired vampire who looked as though he was the leader of the group, a rather tall red haired woman clung onto his arm, and the other man was darker in comparison with long dreads and was that a gold tooth? However, they seemed rather surprised to have come across another group of vampires obviously assuming they could just work their way through the small town and then disappear off without any other sightings of their kind or repercussions for their actions.

Joan instantly moved her way towards Jasper reaching out to hold onto him. Anything to erase the troubled thoughts that had started to plague her mind. Reminding her that there was so many possibilities of things that could go wrong. And her mind automatically putting the majority down to the root cause being because of the human girl who clung so tightly onto her brother. If she was to die in this moment because of Isabella Swan she was going to haunt that girl and her family for the rest of eternity.

So far, the group were going to make a pretty quick escape from the negative outcomes it would appear. For Edward attempted to sneak away with Bobo whilst Carlisle managed to efficiently distract the nomads and invite them to play a game with the remaining members of the coven. However, Forks love for windy weather seemed to be against the family of vampires for it was quick and effectively moved the human's smell into the nose of the nomads who sustained the human blood diet, if their bright red eyes were not a give away.

Joan found herself standing straighter a look of determination across her features as she stared down the trespassing vampires. All worries escaped her head as she almost found herself slipping back into the mindset she had during the war. Yet for once this was not encouraged by the appearance of Sargent this was of her own doing. She could hear the animalistic snarling from Edward behind her. Had this not been such a serious instance she knew she would be laughing at his behaviour for his behaviour was ridiculous.

"The girl is with us." Carlisle once again as the head of the family spoke out before they watched the nomads slowly submit and move away.

But from then on it was all go as the family raced back to their house to discus their next plan of action and what to do about what had just occurred.
