"Lou? what are you doing? Salt doesn't go in hot chocolate," said Harry wearily.
"It's my secret recipe, said Louis proudly.
He poured some salt into the two cups and continued to work on it.
"I made it up this morning, it'll be fine Harry." said Louis.
Harry looked worried so Louis had to reassure him.
"I don't know Lou. That's a lot of salt," stated Harry.
"It'll be fine Harry! Please don't worry I know what to do." said Louis.
He added hot chocolate mix and coca powder into the cups.
The kettle went off signalling that the water was hot enough, and Harry grabbed it for Louis.
"How much do I pour in," asked Harry.
Harry did not let Louis pour the water because last time he did he nearly burned his hand.
"About 3/4ths of the way full," answered Louis.
Harry started pour the hot chocolate, and Louis grabbed the toppings for the drinks.
"Why are you putting graham crackers in hot chocolate," asked Harry. He was confused because he's never seen a recipe that has called for such a strange ingredient.
"Trust me Harry I know what I'm doing. I used to make it all the time when I was younger," said Louis.
He then dropped 4 jumbo marshmallows into the two cups and stirred it slightly.
"If you say so . . ."said Harry.
Louis put a little bit of whipped cream on the marshmallows, and Harry still looked confused. Louis continued on, and crushed up the graham crackers. He then sprinkled them on the whipped cream and stirred it all in. He grabbed a spoon, and put the sugar on it and put a spoonful in each cup. After that, Louis grabbed the chocolate chips and stirred them in to make them melt.
Finally, he grabbed the whipped cream, and sprayed it on both cups and a little on Harry. Then proudly handed a mug to Harry. He hesitantly took a sip, and smiled at Louis.
"It's actually really good," said Harry.
He was surprised because Louis added so much salt to it.
"Told you to trust me," said Louis.
He playfully hit Harry softly. Then the boys went out to their living room to enjoy their hot chocolate.
Harry got whipped cream all over his chin and Louis kissed him to get it off. He savoured the last of the hot drink. **********************************
I wrote this yesterday when I was coming back from a vacation so forgive me if it sucks. I've actually made hot chocolate that way, just using my moms kurig (or however you spell it.)
