Things are becoming hectic (Ch. 2)

Emily's POV

I woke up next to Sage still sound asleep, which is surprising considering I am usually the one who sleeps in late. I knew we'd have to start getting ready for Grace and Liv to come tomorrow. I rolled out of bed and chose to get started on breakfast.

I made some eggs and bacon and was about to pour our drinks when my phone went off. I grabbed it and saw a notification. I look at Abbie's post and saw she was coming up around the area where Sage and I live. I haven't hung out with Abbie in a while, I really miss her but I may be able to hang out with her when she gets here.

But how come I just found out about this now? Oh well..I guess it's been a while since we've hung out or she just forgot about it. I should text Abbie about hanging out.

Emily: Hey Abbie!! I saw you were coming up near Chicago, I haven't seen you in a while and I thought we could hang out. I really miss you, Sage and I just moved here and I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?

Abbie: Ya I'd love to hang out, we can figure it out when I get up there, we are going to be staying in a hotel for the first few days I think but we'd like to come over. Also we'll be there later tonight, we are packing right now.

We? What's that suppose to mean? I know she isn't talking about me.

Emily: Alright sounds good! I'll see you then!

I set my phone down and finished our our drinks. I turn around and she Sage sitting at the counter with a tired expression and finish up putting the food on the plates. I hand hers over and sit down with mine next to her.

"So what going on?" She asked with a tired smile.

She's so cute but I don't know how she'll feel about this. I give an awkward smile and scratch the back of my head.

"So I know I should've asked you first but Grace and her partner Liv are coming over tomorrow to stay the night and Abbie is coming up too so I thought I could hang out with her. " I say.

"Yeah that's fine, we have plenty of room but I don't really know them so you'll have to introduce me." She said calmly.

"Okay good! Thanks for understanding." I reply smile and putting my hand of hers.

We finish eating and I put my regular day clothes on. We rearrange the house to where we are happy with it. The rooms looked amazing!

Both of our separate bedrooms had queen sized beds, big flat screen TVs, stuffed animals, really nice furniture, bean bags, and other cool things too. Each of our rooms had some different stuff of course too.

I saw Sage's room has a lot of cute cacti on the window still and her really good artwork all around. She also has her web cam and computer ready for her next video.

Our Pomeranian, Oreo, will be sleeping in her room, our Husky, Frost,  in my room,  and our Turtle,  Tony,  in his tank in the living room.

It's like a zoo,  I swear.

My room had posters and two paintings hanging up,  one was of which Sage made for me. I had my ukulele sitting on a shelf,  my Ps4 was set up, my computer was on my desk,  and unpack everything else to the way of my liking. We got a few of the other rooms ready for our guests.

When we got done we sat down on the couch next to each other and spent most the day watching movies of our choice.

I was almost asleep when my phone went off again, I sat up and checked it.

Abbie: Hey, we're in Chicago now, we are heading to the hotel now.

Emily: Oh cool!

Abbie: The hotel is way too expensive and it's super crowded here.  I don't know what to do,  I'm really worried.

I know I don't have to offer but I feel bad, I mean she is close friend and it couldn't hurt to take in one more person and it's only for a little bit, but I don't want things to get to crazy either, otherwise it'll just become a slippery slope.

I quietly try to wake Sage up.

"Sage.." I say softly.

Nothing.

"Sage, I have a question for you." I say a little louder.

"Mhm...what?" She asks.

"I know I may be asking too much and it is going to get crazy if I keep doing this but do you think we could let Abbie stay for a couple night?" I ask try not to bother her.

"Emily, I know we just moved here but we can't keep doing this, things will get worse I know it..but I guess that's fine." She said finishing.

"I'm sorry Sage, I love you so much! Thank you." I reply hugging her.

She smiled and hugged back. I grabbed my phone and sent Abbie a text asking her.

Emily: Do you want to spend the night at our house til you can find somewhere to stay?

Abbie: That would make things a lot easier, I don't know where you live though.

Emily:  I'll send you the location, but who else is with you? What's going on? What brings you to Chicago?

Abbie: Thank you. Erik is with me right now. Sky is in the hospital right now, I'm not sure why but I think it's something serious.

Sky? Who?

Emily:  Oh I'm sorry to hear that,  that sounds pretty bad,  when to you think you'll be over? I have some questions to ask about.

Abbie:  Ok,  that's fine,  I'll be over in an hour or a little bit more.

"It's okay. But we haven't really gotten to do anything together and that was like kinda the point of moving. So what do you want to do?" She says laughing a little.

"I'm not sure,  I mean we live right next to the beach and we have an hour to burn,  want to go to the beach?" I ask smiling.

"Yeah! That will be fun" She says.

We get our flip flops on and head over to the beach, we aren't going to go swimming today but I love the beach so it doesn't really matter. We spend almost the whole hour sitting next to each other and watching the sun set. I loved every second of it though.

It was time for us to start heading back so we did and soon enough they all arrived. The doorbell rang and I jumped right up to answer it. I  give a soft smile and open the door up and see Abbie, Erik,  and C-Craig.. You have to be shitting me right now. I narrow my eyes at Craig. Why is Craig here?! I fake a smile and open the door wider.

"Hey,  come on inside." I said politely.

They all walk in and I look sourly at Craig after he passed me. I sat them down on the couch and I already know that this is going to get insane.
