Chapter 11

DANIELS POV
I struggle to get up off the pavement from where I was left lying from the pain. I get up and try and jog back to the house.

As I'm struggling, a car pulls up next to me, "Need a ride?" I hear the driver say. I look over to who it is.

"Oh, hey Aspen!" I glee. "It would be great if I could get a ride!"

"Hop in!" She says and unlocks the door. I hop, I mean Ihob, into the car and aspen rolls up all the windows.

"So why are you out in these parts?"

"Well I was going to the gym an-"

"Oh of corse you were going to the gym!" She laughs, but very high pitched, "you are so buff!" She squeals and squeezes my arm.

I flinch away from her grasp. "Yeah, but now I'm just trying to get home."

"Oh okay, your place it is!" She says and gives me a wink.

"No, I didn't mean it like that..."

"Mhm" She says and slides her sunglasses down from her forehead and drives with only one hand one the wheel, so I was holding the 'oh shit' bar then entire time. (You guys know what I'm talking about, right?)

She pulls into our lot and I get out of the car as soon as I could. "Okay, thank you!" I say and wave. She doesn't say anything, she just rolls her eyes and drives away.

I walk up to the house and unlock the door using my key. I hear a very unusually familiar voice. I open the door and see the brunette facing away from me dragged away by Yazmeen.

As they were going up the stairs, I look up and see her: Zoey. The second her head turns towards me, I turn my head away.

A/N
Hey guys! I have nothing against Aspen at all! I just need a female antagonist, and she seemed to fit. I'm sorry if anyone disagrees with my choice to include her, but I just needed a character.

If you guys didn't read the original book that this book is a sequel of, I advise it. If you did read it but didn't remember, Aspen and Daniel dated for a time in that book.
