16: Friendship troubles

During Lunch...
"I can't believe this, way to go girl!" All through class Marinette couldn't stay focused, especially after learning she would be working with Jagged Stone! "Thanks Alya, this is a great opportunity." She looked away, hoping to see Adrien and Nino but all she saw was Nino. "Hey girl you alright? Your smile just turned to a frown!"Marinette apologized and excused herself. A few minutes later she spotted golden blonde hair. "Hey!" She tapped Adrien on the shoulder."Oh hey Mari!" Marinette frowned a little at the nickname but shrug it off. "I've got some excited news!" She briefly told Adrien and what he did in response surprised her. In one swift movement he gave her a sweet and caring hug. He pulled back quickly, and Marinette could have sworn she saw a hint of a blush but it vanished too quick for her eyes. "This is amazing Marinette!" Adrien couldn't believe it! Not only would she be working with the most amazing rock star in all of paris but he would see her more often, and maybe get to dance with her at parties! "Um Adrien, are you alright?" Adrien was shocked back to reality by her sweet voice. "Um sorry, I was just thinking since you will be working with Jagged then we might see each other more often, you see my father sells Jagged stone inspired outfits for his company and sometimes I model them!" Marinette was silent. Then the bell rang,and she made a beeline for the classroom. Marinette was scolding herself for telling him, wasn't she supposed to hate him? Her head was pounding from stress. She really wanted to make things right with Adrien but she wasn't sure if Alya would be ok with that. She wanted all her friends to get along but since the incident, Alya and Nino couldn't even look at Adrien even bumping into him sometimes making him drop his books. How did things get so complicated?!
