A day had passed and for the first time, Levi had not seen Eren since the incident yesterday. He sat in silence, the knight not wanting to bring himself to see her.

Levi couldn't bring himself to go back to Hanji's lab. Every detail was as vivid as day.

He made sure he remembered everything from yesterday.

The knight recalled the scent of Hanji's lab, her vials, the scent of the wood.... especially Eren.

How her claws swiped... The way Eren's eyes transformed into slits and glared at him with hatred. It left a haunting feeling in his stomach, and for the first time, Levi regretted his actions.

Of course, there were things in his life he regretted but this had to be in the Top Three.

Levi told himself he would never become like the rich, snobby pigs in the inner barriers, taking on slaves and concubines...but here he was with a dragon slave he didn't even want.

Yeah, Levi never wanted any of this. It was Erwin's. Erwin wanted this, not Levi.

Not only did Erwin want to brand Eren but Erwin wanted to take Eren if not, then kill her where she stood.

It was Erwin.

All of this.... this nightmare... this-this torture was all because of Erwin.

But what could Levi do? Erwin was his superior and held a higher rank. But it's not like the knight was ever one to listen to those in power.

If Levi didn't like something, he'd change it. That was just the man he was.

The only thing was that this... was different.

It wasn't just his reputation at stake. It was another life at stake, and well beyond his control.

Levi- who had been sitting inside his room this entire time- gripped the sides of his hair in raging frustration.

What to do?

What could he do...?

Erwin just left a meeting with his superiors- he didn't have a lot of them- but that didn't mean the remaining few weren't a pain in his butt.

He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. In this meeting he was hoping to propose a new idea of action of taking land back from the titans but before he could even speak he'd been bombarded with questions and statements.

Then when he was finally given a chance to speak and propose his idea his superiors shot him down without a second thought. Mainly because they were starting to run low on money, materials, and supplies.

It's not like he could just make supplies and materials just appear out of nowhere or take back land they'd lost in this ongoing war.

'Come on Erwin, think!'

An idea had struck him.

To get more funding and supplies they need more land, and the only way to get more land was to have a force to take it back.

He thought to himself.

He might have just found himself a new asset.

Besides there wasn't a problem anyway. She wasn't human, she would never be.

For humanity. It was all for the sake of humanity.

Sorry for the short chapter but yeah.
