Yay. I mean noooooooo.

Today is another beautiful day: birds are singing, flowers are blooming... And it's another great day of school, yay. As usual, he was stuck with his overprotective brother, Lukas, and his annoying boyfriend, Mathias.

"How was your day at school?" Lukas looked over at Emil, his face emotionless - like Leon's, Emil thought with a frown. He opened his mouth, almost ready to tell Lukas about his encounter with Leon, but quickly shut it.

Wait, why don't I want to talk about Leon; he's just another classmate, right?

Emil flushed slightly and tensed up as he was reminded about how awkwardly he had handled the conversation yesterday. As usual, Lukas immediately picked up on it and shot him a 'worried' glance (his face was as emotionless as usual, but Emil had lived long enough with him to pick up on Lukas' emotions). Emil simply shook his head and stayed quiet for the rest of the trip to school, letting Mathias' talking fill the silence. As soon as they stepped through the school gates, he quickly rushed to his classroom to avoid further questioning from his brother.

It was Science and as usual he took one of the empty seats at the back, making sure to pick one with no one neighbouring him (he just liked not having people talking in his ear during class... at least, that's what he told himself). Class was about to start and Leon still hadn't appeared (not like he cared).

"Alright, class, time to take attendance." His Science teacher - a tall and, no offence, old man with white hair - announced. Almost directly after he said that, Leon burst through the door.

"Sorry I'm late." He panted, quickly seating himself next to Emil.

The teacher shook his head, but didn't say anything and continued the attendance.

"Alright, as you may have heard, you will be starting your projects for our annual Science Fair." The teacher announced.

This was met with chorus of sighs and shouts of joy as usual.

"Before you get too excited." The teacher continued over the whispering among the classroom, "I'll be choosing your groups," he finished, glancing over certain individuals. Emil could already guess who he was looking at (ahem, Francis, Antonio and Gilbert, who had somehow managed to set fire to the school twice during their English projects last year somehow).

The teacher went around the classroom, allocating each student to a group.

"You'll be with Leon," the teacher said pointing at Emil. Emil felt his heart jump a beat but he decided it was probably just disappointment.

"You'll be with Heracles," the teacher continued, gesturing at the Greek male who happened to be asleep on his desk, then pointing at Sadik (was he Turkish? Emil vaguely remembered him from his Maths class last year).

Leon glanced over at Emil cautiously, then walked over to Emil's table, dragging his chair behind him.

"So what do you want to do?" Leon asked as he seated himself next to Emil. Emil was scribbling notes down into his notepad in what appeared to be Icelandic and was... ignoring him. Great.

"Um, hello?" Leon said waving his hand in front of Emil's face, finally catching the boy's attention.

"Hm?" he asked looking up at Leon, who was attempting to translate his notes (thanks to Google Translate). Leon raised an eyebrow and met Emil's gaze.

"Like, what do you want to do for the Science fair?" he repeated. "Also, what are you writing in your notes?"

Emil scowled. "Why don't you ask yourself what you want to do?"

"Because I'm, like, asking you?"

"Can you not think for yourself?"

"Yes, I can."
