I was shoved out the door. The person who shoved me immediately turned around and closed the door. I didn't get a glimpse of the inside as it was closed in the next second.

I got a poke to the chest and then he asked me "I said what the hell are you doing here?!"

This time I turned to him. "Look Douglas I just need to -"

"Haven't you caused enough trouble yet? Haven't you seen how distressed she is? Or do you want her to forgive you and then break her heart you arsehole" Douglas said.

"No I'm just here to apologize -"

"Well you're not going in" and Douglas crossed his arms. "Not on my watch"

I groaned in my hands and ruffled my hair. This is shit. This is going horrible. I should've just stayed at home. I should've trusted Cara in taking care of Emma. I should've pushed Kendall away when she started making movements.

I looked back up at him. Even though he was only a few centimetres taller than me, it made me more intimidated of him.

"Please I just need a chance. I need to explain myself and then Emma has the choice of believing me or not. Just give me a shot" I begged him.

He shook his head. "She's extremely upset right now. I'd let the wounds heal and then you can talk to her. But honestly, what you did is unforgivable"

"She told you?"

"No, Cara texted me about it as she was at MacDonald's but I was already at her apartment because I wanted to surprise her. I mean, I haven't seen her in ages!"

"What? Did you want to pick up the pieces, hoping that she'll run to you?" I sneered at him. In all honesty, I was truly afraid of that happening. I didn't want Emma to break up with me. I still love her, I need her to survive. I don't remember my life without her. Her scent, her hugs and her kisses are my drug and without her, I don't think I could function properly.

"No" Douglas looked at me with sympathy and smiled.

"There's something that I have to tell you though. Come on, take a walk with me"

He put his arm around my shoulder and urged me to move forwards to the elevator doors. I was reluctant to move at first. My feet were firming planted to the ground and my eyes never left the door. Douglas got a bit annoyed and shoved me towards the elevator doors. I lost my balance but made sure I didn't fall over by holding on to the window sill.

I glared at Douglas but he just laughed at me. Why was he being like this? I thought that he liked Emma?

I walked to the elevator with Douglas walking behind me. He was probably trying to get me as far away from Emma as possible. I don't blame him; I know that I was the one who hurt her.

The elevator trip down to the ground floor was filled with awkward silence. The doors opened when we reached the ground level. Douglas signalled for me to walk out first so that was what I did.

I waited for him to get out of the elevator and followed him. We were walking outside the apartment and I continued walking with him. My hands were shoved in the pocket of my coat while Douglas got his sunglasses out.

We continued walking in silence.

"Are we going somewhere?" I finally asked, breaking the silence.

"No, I just needed you to take a walk with me. And to let Emma calm down before she sees you... that is if she wants to see you again"

I didn't say anything after that. A few more minutes passed before Douglas said "So I said that I needed to tell you something right?"

"Yeah" I replied back, trying not to sound eager to find out the news.
