I spent majority of my weeks with Emma now that we were out as a couple. We were named "Britain's Power Couple". It was a really awesome name to be honest, I felt like a superhero and we were the dream team. I also spent a lot of time with the boys afterwards going to shows, rehearsing for the new tour and writing new songs for another new album. It seemed like we were making songs non-stop and every year we would have something new. I know that it makes the fans happy but I'm getting really tired of working late and ordering take-out all the time. Emma actually visited us once and brought some wraps that she made. She knew I was getting annoyed with fast food and the boys were as well so we were extremely thankful that Emma brought something fresh to eat.
Niall even had two wraps because he wanted to clean his stomach from fast food. We continued writing songs and sometimes, we'd ask Emma on a girl's opinion of a situation. We were writing a song and we wanted the girl's perspective on how she dealt with someone being away for a long time.
"Well it'll be hard at first I suppose. She could cry herself to sleep because she misses you a lot and you know, she'll probably sleep in your hoodie or something to have a reminder that you're there with her. She might go back to the places that you've been to. She'll put on a strong face when you're skyping so she doesn't want you to worry about her. Um... yeah. That's all I can think of right now"
We decided to put in the 'sleep in your hoodie' part into the song but we changed it to 'sweater' so it sounded just that little bit better. Emma was pouting because of that decision but we all cheered her up by telling her that she would be acknowledged for helping us write the song. We also incorporated the 'going to places' part into it. It evolved from that to a brand new song. The boys and the crew made sure that she wasn't going to hear us record it but when it got published, she'd be the first person to listen to it.
I was interrupted when Emma said "I have to go to the bathroom now Haz so you might want to let go of my hand..."
I didn't even realise I was holding her hand underneath the table. I immediately let go and she stood up and went to the bathroom.
Everyone at the table looked at me with questioning or confused looks.
"What?" I asked.
"She just called you 'Haz' " Zayn said.
"Yeah... and?" I asked again.
"You let her call you 'Haz'! I thought you hated nicknames!" Louis cried out.
I laughed. "Sorry boys but I guess I just don't love you enough to have you call me 'Haz'!"
Eleanor came in later that afternoon and Emma and her got along really well. Emma never met Perrie since Perrie was too busy promoting her own band and Liam never really brought Sophia to any of our recordings. We started calling Eleanor and Emma the 'Mama E's' since they always provided us with the right foods whenever they came to visit us.
One day, when I was getting out of the bathroom, I saw that Emma, the boys and Eleanor were huddled together in a group. They were talking in whispers and I felt extremely left out. I looked at my watch to see what time it was. It read 10:15pm. I wanted to buy a small apartment in London so I wouldn't be too far away from the studio. I'd started living at Emma's house because Oxfordshire was closer to London than in Cheshire.
I walked to the group of people huddling. Louis looked up over Emma's shoulder and cleared his throat. Everyone immediately looked up and looked at Louis' direction of sight. They all saw me and separated. They were talking amongst each other and Emma took my hand. "We'll be leaving now! Bye guys!"
Everyone said their goodbyes and we left the studio. We made our way to the car without being seen and Emma drove back to her house. I didn't have my car here since Liam was the one who picked me up in the morning. Her car was actually a light blue Toyota Prius. Perfect for a midget like her. I chuckled to myself. "So how's the song writing process going?" she asked me.
