Lillith sashayed over to the elevator doors, and pushed the button with the worn down arrow on it, that pointed down of course. She stood by the elevator doors, waiting for one of the four elevator enterways to open. Ven stood beside her, glancing over at her.

She had went from hands on her hips to arms crossed, and looked as though she was impatient.

Ven turned back to the far left elevator which had opened, and strolled over to it. Lillith followed his lead, stepping into the elevator shortly after him. Ven pressed the lobby button, and looked around the desolate elevator, only Lillith and him was in it.

Since he lived on the fifth floor, they didnt have much levels to go down. The elevator stopped on floor three, and a tallish man walked in. He wasn't as tall as Ven, since Ven was able to tower over many being 6"9, yet he was surely taller than 5"8.

The man had dirty blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes, wore a beaten-up gray scarf, along with a dark blue hoodie and blue jeans.

The man glanced over at Lillith, shooting her a sharp smile. Lillith returned the smile, hers a bit more mischevious. Ven noticed this going on, but said nothing and watched the elevator doors close.

"Beautiful night, isn't it?", The hooded man tried to spark a conversation with Lillith, which obviously worked. "Yes it is.", Lillith looked up at him. She had to look up quite a lot, only being 5"6.

"My name is Kyle, yours?", Kyle questioned her. "My name is Lillith, nice to meet you.", She held her hand out to him. He took it, gently kissing the top of it. This earned a small laugh from Lillith.

Ven got lost in his thoughts, trying to block out what his girlfriend was doing, right in front of his face. He lightly bit the corner bottom lip to keep himself from saying something to the man that wouldnt be considered polite. Soon, the elevator hit the lobby ground, and Kyle hopped off the elevator, waving goodbye to Lillith.

Lillith returned the gester and got off next, followed by Ven. He took to the doors of the lobby, Lillith following, of course. Ven looked aroubd the lobby.

It had light redish-grayish paint peeling off its walls in a few places, the carpet was badly stained from mud and who knows what, the front desk was completely desolate, and some of their paintings had the glass broken.

Ven continued to the doors, opening them with a bit of struggle. It felt as though they hadnt been oiled for years. He held it open for Lillith, who didnt even say a 'thank you' and strolled right pass him. Ven walked out behind her, letting the door swing closed behind him.

The two took off to the park. Ven was silent the whole time, a bad feeling starting to rise in his stomach. He glanced at Lillith, who looked as though she was lost in her thoughts. Ven sighed and looked back ahead of him.

His mind replayed what happened in the elevator over and over again. He wasn't shocked, no, he was rather dissapointed. Ven knew she did things like that, but yet everytime she apologized, he forgave her and took her back.

Ven looked down at his black, slick shoes as he walked. By the time his thoughts had went away, they had arrived at the park. Yet, instead of the park being open as usual, it was closed off by caution tape and police men. Ven rushed over to the police, "What happened?"

"Sir, we need you to step back, this is a crime scene.", One police officer stated.

Ven pulled out his detective I.D, since he always keeps it in his trench-coat pocket. He showed the I.D to the police men, and they hesitantly let him him. "Lillith, go back to the hotel and wait for me there.", He turned to his girlfriend, who was already heading that direction.

He lightly sighed and turned back to the park, carefully strolling in. There were police officers everywhere, they were either talking to each other, or taking pictures of the park. He wondered what had happened, and continued on. He had almost reached the middle of the park when a gruesome scene appeared before him.

What looked to be the remains of a young woman laid before him. Her intestines were pulled out of a long slit that went from the base of her neck down to the bottom of her torso. They were thrown about, seemingly carelessly, and some were even cut in some places.

Ven tried his best to keep his cool, as he examined the rest of the body. One arm had been sliced off perfectly, while the other was mangled in different ways. As he looked at her face, he lightly covered his mouth. Her eyes had been gouged out, and her tongue was laying beside her body. Blood was pouring from her mouth and nose.

He turned from the body, gagging a bit. He had never seen a murder like this before, and he wished that he would never see one like it again. A police officer strolled up to him, lightly patting his back.

"Gruesome, isnt it?", The police officer muttered, glancing at the dead body. Ven could only nod. The officer pulled away, "All we know so far is that the murder weapon was a kitchen knife."

Ven did a small hum, and uncovered his mouth. The officer looked away from the dead body and up at him, "We need your help with this one." Ven cleared his throat, "I will try my best." The officer led him to where there more officers.

"Have any of you talked to the family and friends yet about any enemies? Or what happened before this happened to this young woman?", Ven asked them, to which one of them nodded.

"We're going to do more investigsting tomorrow, we will call you when we start, okay?", A police officer looked at Ven, to which he nodded.

"I'd get some rest if I were you.", The police officer, that had brought him over to the group, advised him. Ven did a small hum, and quuckly exited the park, heading back to the apartment. The image of the body was burned into Vens head, and he couldn't seem to shake it off.

When Ven got back to his apartment room, he didn't bother looking for Lillith. He kicked the door closed with his heel, and kicked off his shoes. He slipped off his trench-coat, and went to his bedroom.
He walked over to his dresser, grabbed an old shirt and shorts, then went to his bathroom and changed into them.

Ven slid under his covers, his eyes starting to close. He thought he saw a shadow pass over him, but before he could get up. He had already been taken into sleeps grasp..
