Wow. That last entry was quite wordy.. Though, while this may be an excuse, it is also in these peoples' custom to speak with much idea completion (as coordinated w/ their sophistication level due to actively reading) based on what I've observed or noticed.
but
Welp.

Entry 8

- Jun's Perspective -

As against it as I was, I couldn't quite bring myself to deny my younger sibling's request: to go and intentionally seek out the arrived strangers. [A/N /Peru: Whom little did he know were us inklings.]

The villiage has decided not to interfere or investigate them dorectly this time, but even I did not know why yet.

We were reaching the shore. I'd brought something with me.

July led me to the approximate place of their lodging.
We were in cover of leaves, bushes, and branches.
And they -the visitors- could hear us coming.

(We knew because we heard them comment on it, and now they were still.)

"Who are you foreign beings?" I asked them, "Please name yourselves." 'his protective side was showing again' Jewl told me she'd thought later.
"We will not seek to bring you harm if you do not us."

"Wait, Jun-" she'd meant to tell me something, but I chose to focus on the others for now.

The three stood slowly, looking in our direction.
The one who looked male held a peculiar weapon forcibly at his side.
They were all standing roughly next to eachother now, completing their slow movements.

"We have no intent of harming any of you. I also want to thank you for leaving my sister unscathed.." I looked at her in signal as I said this and continued, "However, I think it's unwise to assume you are completely harmless.. yet, though I do hope of you."

The one with the weapon loosened up. And pointed his weapon toward the sky, at a slight angle infront of him.

He shot, but the ammo was none like anything I'd ever seen or used before;
It landed on the ground in a dark-blue puddle-like consistency.

Then July and I both witnessed something neither of us had honestly expected:
He 'reduced' his form somehow, submerged, and swam in the blob of color, getting closer to us, quickly raising my alert.

Holding out my weapon I yelled "Halt! Stop there!" and he did, at about the end of the blob 'line' and short swim.

"We are a race known as inklings." he explained, a calm fist briefly on his chest. "The only one of us with even remote knowledge on what you might be, we believe, is one of those behind me."
I looked over at them, the other two in the group.

"What we can tell you is that, for the most part, we actually thought you all to be extinct. No longer existent on this planet.. It seems that we were wrong all those years, and it's clear that you also haven't much knowledge of us," he (who I was later informed was named Ash) expressed.

"We will reveal more of ourselves if you do so first." the light-blue one behind him called, "As you can already see us."
[Peru, here - notes on me then: You might note I was anxious to finally get a look at them and see if they were really, y'kno, humans.]

The blue who'd just talked appeared to kick her weapon, same as the other, behind her.

"Jun,.. I didn't.- didn't know they could do that.." you could tell Jewl was still in slight shock from what we'd just seen. (Not that I wasn't but given the situation.. I couldn't afford to lose focus and risk it [even if I had already chosen to give them the benefit of the doubt before coming here.])
