Divergent without the war

Chapter one

AN/ THIS IS JUST AFTER THE RANKINGS WERE PUT UP AND EVERYONE EXEPT AL IS ALIVE. NO ONE IS HUNTING DIVERGENTS AND ALL OF THE FACTIONS ARE AT PEACE. ALTHOUGH I WISH THEY WERE MINE UNFORTUNATELY ALL CHARACTERS BELONG TO VERONICA ROTH.

Tris POV

After the rankings we're put up I almost scream, first place that's incredible!!! I never expected to do this well. I honestly thought I was in danger of becoming factionless but apparently I was wrong.

Once I get over my shock I continue down the list and smile as I see all of my friends have made it in as well. I was only disappointed to see Peters name still in the top ten. I guess we won't have to worry about him as much now that his two sidekicks Molly and Drew are gone.

"Congrats on getting first place" Uriah shouts in my ear while slapping my back.

"Thanks, you did pretty good as well" I reply. I turn around to see Christina and Will kissing a little too sloppily for my taste.

I turn around to seed Tobias standing behind me. I feel my face instantly light up with happiness. He leans down and whispers in my ear

"You think me giving you a hug would give too much away?". I smile and say

"You know, I don't really care" and with that I go up onto my toes and kiss him.

A wonderful tingling sensation goes through me as our lips touch. He stands there in shock for a moment and then responds by putting his hand on the small of my back pushing me closer to him making me shiver. He so amazing, I still don't understand what he sees in me but I decide to let it go for now.

Eventually I realise that we aren't alone and I pull back to see Christina and Will staring at us with the most shocked look I have ever seen. I forgot that everyone still had no idea about me and Tobias. I sigh and tell Tobias

"I'll see you later, I think Christina has some things that she wants to ask me" I look over at Christina and she and Will still haven't moved. Tobias chuckles and pecks my nose before saying

"Ok see you soon" and he heads off to his friends.

As soon as he gets far enough away Christina runs up to me and starts asking about a million questions

"How long has this been going on? Why didn't you tell me about it? What happened? Did.." Before she gets any further I interrupt her rambling and say

"Ok firstly it's been about two days and I couldn't tell anyone because we didn't want anyone to think that my rank was a mark of his favouritism, which it isn't. Now I will answer more of your questions tomorrow because I am exhausted and all I want to do right now is go to sleep"

She agrees and then we head off to the dormitory and as soon as I lie down I fall into a calm and dreamless sleep.

AN/ How did you like that chapter? Tell me what you think. I am also open to any suggestions about what you want to happen later on because I don't really have a plan. I will try to update soon.
