Ch. 3 The Sleepover

Mikayla's P.O.V.

After the final bell rang, signaling school was out, I rushed out of the room to meet up with Laura. Once I reached our locker I dialed the combination and put my book up since Laura wasn't here yet.

Suddenly I got shoved, and turned around to see an out of breath Laura next to me. "Oh my gosh you are not going to believe this!!!" She said between panting. "What?" "I just got on twitter and Zayn tweeted something about the announcement!!"

"See for yourself" she said as she handed me her phone.

@ZaynMalik1D: Hey vas happnin? :) Just thought I'd tell you all that the announcement is three parts. The first part of the announcement is that we will be live on iheart radio tonight @ 8 pm ET. Make sure you tune in to hear the rest of the announcement ;) xx

"OMG but that could be anything!!" I said. "I know! But we need to listen to it tonight at your sleepover." Laura said with a serious look on her face. "Of course! Ugh this is gonna be so much fun! But One Direction are killing me with the suspense!" I said dramatically. We both laughed,

"I couldn't agree with you more dear. Now off to my car so the sleepover can begin!" Laura said as she raised her finger in the air, and ran out the doors of the school dragging me with her by the arm.

*at my house*

"Honey I'm Hoome!!" Laura yelled as we entered my house. As soon as we both looked at each other we couldn't quit laughing. "Nice to see you again Laura!" my Mom hollered from the kitchen. "Likewise Mrs. Conners!" Laura replied. "I'll have dinner ready for you girls in an hour."

"Thats ok Mom! We were just gonna make popcorn and snack!" I told her. "Ok dear, just let me know if you girls need anything!"

"Will do! Thanks Mom!" I hollered. "Yeah, thanks Mom!" Laura called after me as we ran upstairs to my room.

Once we reached my room and shut the door, I asked Laura, "So what do you want to do first?" "Well what time is it?" Laura asked. I told her, "It's almost five right now."

"Oh! That means in almost two hours the boys will be on the radio!" Laura said excitedly as she jumped on my bed, laying on her back. "Yeah thats Right! Do you wanna make some food first? Then we can check the boys twitters and get on iheart radio while we eat!"

"Sounds good to me." Laura said as she sat up on my bed. Mimicking Laura I raised my finger and said, "To the Kitchen!!" in my best superhero voice, which in turn caused us both to laugh as we ran downstairs.

"Hey mom, how are you doin'?" I asked her as Laura and I entered the kitchen. "I'm good honey. How was your girls day at school?" she asked as she washed the dishes.

"It was ok." I said. "Mine was great Mrs. Conners cause I got to come over here for the weekend!" Laura said.

"Did you girls come down here to get some food?" my Mother questioned. "Yeah mom, but don't worry we're just gonna make some popcorn and cookies and stuff. You know, the usual sleepover stuff." I told her. "Ok dear, if you need anything else let me know. I'll be in the laundry room if you girls need me." she said as she walked down the hall.

"And your father will be home soon." she hollered after us. "Ok mom! Thanks!" I said. I started making the popcorn while Laura went to the cubbord in search of the perfect sweets to go with it. Once that was done we headed upstairs to my room.

Its about 6:30pm right now and me and Laura are sitting on my bed listening to iheart radio from my laptop, and on twitter on Laura's phone as we stuff our faces with popcorn. Don't judge.

"Look Mikayla! The boys tweeted!" she nudged my shoulder. I looked over at her phone as we both read the tweet.

@OneDirection: Hey everybody! We're gonna be live on iHeart radio in 30min! Tune in for our special announcement! ;) xx

We both looked at each other and screamed,"Ahhhhhskadkcjsjakdjzjak!!" Thats Fangirl for Oh My Gosh!! And then my Mother hollered from downstairs, "Is everything alright up there girls?" we both giggled at each other, "Yes mom, everything is fine." I said, you would think my own mother would be used to me fangirling by now.

We went back to fangirling and I turned iHeart radio up, waiting to hear the boys. Suddenly the song ended and the DJ came on. "And that was Problem by Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea." he said, " And now for what all of you have been waiting for..." Me and Laura screamed "... We have five special guests with us today from across the pond...."

We couldn't hold in our excitement any longer and we started bouncing in the bed. "... Here they are, One Direction!!!" We both screamed at the sound of their name. We quieted ourselves when the boys started to speak. "Hello boys" the DJ said as he was answered by a chorus of "Hello's" from the lads.

"Its great to be here Mark." (the name of the DJ) Niall said in his adorable Irish accent. "Yeah, we always enjoy coming to the states." Liam said. "Thats great to hear, and I'm glad you could come by and visit us today on iHeart radio." Mark said, "Ok let's get down to business. A little birdie told me that you were

going to sing some of your songs from your album live tonight. Is that correct?" He asked the lads. "Yes Mark that is correct." Harry said in his British accent. "Well then let's get to it!" Mark said enthusiastically. They ended up singing Story of My Life, Don't Forget Where You Belong, Diana, and my favorite You and I.

Then after the lads finished You and I, the DJ's voice came back on, "Ok, we have one more treat for all you Directioners listening before the boys have to go. "Its the announcement they talked about on twitter!" Laura yelled as she shook me. "I believe you boys mentioned something about an announcement earlier?" "Yes we did." said Zayn.

"Go ahead boys, its all yours." the DJ said, probably gesturing to the mic that the listeners can't see. "Well first off we would like to say thank you for having us here Mark, we had a great time." Harry said.

"I did too, I'm glad you all could be here." "And that the announcement has to do with the WWA tour.." Harry continued. "The lads and I decided to add one more state to the U.S. leg of the tour..." Liam said finishing for Harry. Me and Laura squealed! "We didn't have enough time to go there on our last tour, and we felt like we owed it to the fans there..." Louis said.

"Yeah and we all have wanted to go there for some time now..." Zayn said. "We are coming to St. Louis, Missouri!!" Niall shouted excitedly. Me and Laura screamed and jumped on my bed, "Ahhhhhhhhhh!! Thats us!!" we said in unison. There was a long pause on the radio station, then Harry said, "And thats not all...."

"We are also going to be giving out two free tickets and M&G to the show to one lucky caller." Liam said with excitement. "Get your phones ready..." the DJ said. Laura grabbed her phone off the bed and was waiting to dial the number.

I dived off my bed like a maniac and ran for my phone which was downstairs. Luckily I made it back in time to hear the DJ say the number. "The number is.... 473-921-0895." Me and Laura dialed as fast as we could. I was just praying I would win. I've wanted to go to one of their concerts for so LONG!

But knowing my bad luck, it wouldn't be me. But anything is possible, even for an unlucky girl, right? I hit call and heard the dial tone, praying that they would pick it up.
