Dhruv kept sitting there about a minute wondering that what was troubling her and then walked out of her cabin sighing in disappointment..
Coming at the ground floor his eyes scanned the whole lobby in the search of his Tinkerbell.. But alas!! He failed to get a last glimpse of her before leaving the place..
"You're a fairy, baby.. I really enjoyed and smiled a lot after years.. And all these happened because of you only..
May God bless you.. Be happy and keep smiling always.." he wished sitting inside the cab recalling those happy moments with Dhruvika..
But little did he know the little soul who made him happy an hour ago was then sobbing hysterically in pain and fear wrapped in her mother's warm embrace..
And even her mother was just watching her in pain helplessly, wiping her silent tears...Next Day..
Whole night after twisting and turning on the bed and sculpting all possible reasons behind Hemal's misery, he was determined to ask her everything straight that day itself as he was unable to put his finger on a particular reason..
And moreover he was totally unaware of the incidents Hemal faced in those five years..
Dhruv glanced at the wall clock which showed nine in the morning..
An hour was still left in Hemal's arrival..
Dhruv sighed..
He closed his eyes leaning back on the back rest of the couch and started wondering how everything got changed because of a single phone call he received two days ago..Flashback starts..
After sealing the deal with the delegates of Malaysia, Dhruv was doing some last minute preparations for his next meeting with undivided attention..
But a phone call broke his concentration..
He frowned looking at the mobile screen as it was showing an international phone number..
"Hello.." receiving the call he said confusedly..
"Hello..
Who's this..??" he asked getting no response from the other end..
"Hello.. Hello..
Are you there??
Can you hear me??
Hello.." he chipped again.. And again it was all silent..
He didn't say anything after that, but he didn't hang up the call either..
Time passed.. But none uttered a single word..
Then suddenly Dhruv spoke with a thumping heart and a dry throat..
"Hemal.."
But the person on the other end was still silent..
He waited patiently for her reply but it never came..
"Hemal, I know it's you..
Please talk to me.." Dhruv pleaded controlling his sobs..
"Please.." he chipped in a hoarse voice...
His lips were quivering and his eyes failed to encage the salty water..
"Dhruv.." he heard his name in her soft soothing voice and instantly squeezed his eyes shut to absorb the overwhelmedness..
About after another one minute of silence Dhruv mouthed..
"How.. How are you??"
"I'm fine, Dhruv..
And you..??" her voice was shaky as well..
"I'm good.. I'm also.. umm.. good.." he lied..
"I.. I need to.. tell you something.." she chipped hesitantly..
"Hmm.. Tell.." he muttered immediately..
"No.. Not.. like this..
Can we talk.. umm.. face to face..??" she asked tentatively..
"Sure..!!
Send me the address.. I'm coming now.." he wiped his tears..
"You can't come now, Dhruv..
I'm in Seattle.." she said in a small voice..
"Seattle.. Seattle??
Really?? You are in Seattle??" Dhruv wasn't expecting her to be this far from him..
"Hmm..
Let me know when you will land in Seattle..
I'll send you the address.." she chipped meekly..
"OK.." he was in daze..
"OK.." she chipped but didn't hang up the call..
"Umm.. Hemal, wait.." he chipped hurriedly..
"Hmm.." she hummed..
"You are really alright, right??" Dhruv could sense something wasn't right..
"Come soon, Dhruv.." Hemal just said that hurriedly and hang up before Dhruv could do more enquiry..
Once she disconnected the call Dhruv gave himself a moment to absorb all the happenings..
Later he asked Mahi to arrange the air ticket of the next flight to Seattle and clear all his schedule for a few days..
It wasn't an easy job for her to arrange the ticket and to get the Visa.. But being the PA of a influential person like Dhruv, she somehow managed everything..
Dhruv boarded the flight to Seattle the very night and it took him almost twenty-four hours to reach Seattle..
But to his luck the time difference between India and Seattle is 12:30hr..
Thus it felt like only half of a day was wasted in traveling..
And without wasting a single second he checked in his hotel and then rushed to the Seattle Publishing House hiring a cab that very afternoon..
And rest was history...
