"Hey, can I have that?"

My boyfriend looked up to see me standing in front of him. We were in front of a very familiar sand play area.

He was confused for a movement, before looking down at the apple he was busy eating. A slight twinkle came across the honey brown eyes I have came to adore.

"A half eaten apple?" He asked.

"No, you." I said, smiling. I can feel what was coming.

And it did. He broke down into chuckles and hit me weakly on my shoulder.

"So cliché, Winter. God, what I am gonna do with you." He said, when he finally regained his breathe.

I wrapped my arms around him and asked him, "So what's the answer?"

Even though I knew it was only Jack, a prickle of nervousness washed over me. Would he accept or not? The small box in the back of my pocket suddenly feels like a lot heavier.

"You know it will mean, we have to fight for us at every stage of our life, don't you?" He asked me, his voice a soft mummer.

"I am willing." I replied.

He pulled back and looked into my eyes, a huge grin on his face as he said, "Then, sure. Why not?"
