How Fate To Me To Him

We were on the flight in an hour, just like Edward said, and I slept on the plane, just like I intended to. The only thing that didn’t happen that I expected was actually stay in Texas after we landed in El Paso.

“ We live in Forks, Washington,” Bella told me, “ This is just a stop along the way.”

“ Oh,” I said, kind of disappointed. “ I wanted to get some stuff from my apartment, maybe a book or two, reading always settles my nerves.”

Bella smiled, “ Edward is right you and I are a lot alike…” She drifted off in thought, then I started to think, I had a distant cousin named Isabella Swan, and then I remembered she liked to be called Bella…

I gasped at the same time Bella did. We looked at each other, wide eyed. Then Edward came over to us, to see what we were doing maybe. He saw the looks on our faces and said, “ What’s wrong?” tensing up and looking around, alarmed.

Bella spoke before I could, “ Jessy and I… we’re related. Distant cousins on Charlie’s side I think.” She looked away from me to Edward and smiles. “ This explains how we are so much alike. Guess it runs in the family.”

Edward looked from her to me and then back to her. Then he chuckled, “ Yes, that would explain a lot.” He stopped and thought for a second, then shaking his head, still chuckling he said, “ Emmet’s going to have a field day with this, you know.” Bella groaned.

Though out the rest of the flight Bella and I discussed our family. When we landed in Seattle there was a silver Volo waiting for us. A woman cam out of the car and walked gracefully toward us. She had spiky black hit and was shaped like a pixy. When she was a few feet from us I backed up just enough to put me behind Edward and Bella. I wasn’t usually this shy, but right now I was.

She was right in front of us now. “ Hmm,” the pixy woman said looking at me, smiling kindly “ she does look and smell a lot like you did Bella.” I blush and she laughs, a beautiful bell like laugh. “ Defiantly related.” She says, sticking her hand out towards me, “ I’m Alice”

I slowly give her my hand and shake, then, after releasing my grip from her, say, “ How did you know Bella and I are related?”

Alice looks at Bella and Edward, looking a little annoyed. “ You haven’t told her yet?” She shakes her head and looks back to me with out waiting for a reply and says, “ You see, sometimes, when you become a vampire you get special powers, like Edward here,” she waves her had towards Edward, “ he can read minds, I,” She points to herself. “ Can see the future, and Bella “ she waves her hand again towards Bella, “ can repel surtain powers, like Edwards mind reading… just like you can.”

“ Mmmm…” was the only response I could muster. I look to Edward and Bella, “Anyone else in your family I should know about?” I say very calmly, though I am starting to have a mental over load.

Edward was the one to answer, “ Jasper, Alice’s, er, husband, he can control emotions. Calm a room, make you feel less stressed, thing like that.”

“ I’ll get along with him quite well then.” I say, almost under my breath.

Edward smiled at me, looking sympathetic, or maybe apologetic, “ and Renesmee, or Nessie if you prefer. She can do the exact opposite of what I or Bella can do, take your pick. And Nessie is the biological daughter of Bella and I, just so you know.” As he finishes what he is saying he looks at me, as if judging what my reaction to all this information will be.

“ Yep, Jasper and I are going to get along real well.” I say, and get into the Volo. The other laugh softly behind me then get in the Volo as well.
