Helena lasted most of the ride staring into the distance thinking about murder but then people came and they asked questions.
"Where are you from?"
"Why are you now coming to school?"
"Did your parents die?"
"Was your letter late?"
"What did you learn at home?"
"Are you mentally challenged?"
Helena planned on answering each question with her trained backstory but people were getting on her nerves really quickly. She gritted her teeth, concentrating all her energy on not killing people. She knew that she probably didn't look like a poor little girl whose parents had been killed by Death Eaters, a wimp who was homeschooled and isolated for most of her life. She breathed heavily, her hands in fists.
"Helena?" Hermione placed her mudblood fingers on Helena's shoulder.
Helena flinched. She was shaking now.
Hermione shared looks with Harry and Ron who were both trying to convince people to leave.
"Alright folks," Ron stood up, "Show's over!"
Someone yelled as he pushed people out of the compartment, "Why did you survive?"
Helena felt a flashback to her scared little self hiding as the flames licked her parents roof. Her mother's wand clutched tightly to her chest. She snapped, "Shut up!" She stood up, murderous, "You have no idea what it's like! You little squib!"
The kid ran.
"That's right! If I ever see you again you'll wish you had been homeschooled!" Helena sat back down, breathing heavily.
Hermione rubbed her arm, "It's okay, Helena."
"No! I don't want to be here! I don't want to be sitting in a train full of strangers! I don't want to follow rules! I want to be at home where I can be myself!" She looked around that the three, "I can't do this." She stood up and fumbled with the compartment door, once she was out she ran. She didn't know where she was going but she couldn't sit still any longer. She needed a kill, she needed to torture, she needed to have some time where she was not around these bumbling fools!
"Hey!" Someone shouted, "You can't run on the train!"
Helena didn't care, she kept running. In an instant Helena felt her legs and arms snap to her sides and she fell forward. A body-bind hex. Helena felt her anger rise farther and the caster caught up to her and rolled her over. His face was stern, his cold blue eyes analysing her. He was in his robes with a blue emblem, a badge gleamed on his chest. She didn't know him but by the way he moved she knew he was the teachers pet. He almost looked like Draco with his pale skin and platinum blond hair except this guy's shoulders were broader.
"I have every right to take points, you know." He said.
She glared at him and he took off the hex, "No, I don't know."
He frowned, "I'm the Ravenclaw prefect, Anthony Goldstein."
She sat up, "Well, Goldstein, I'm the fresh meat."
"The homeschooled one?"
She resisted the urge to grab her wand and make him scream, "Yes, and excuse me but I want to find somewhere..."
He stood up, offering his hand, "Look, I don't really care where exactly you go, just that you don't run."
She thought about it, Goldstein wasn't a pureblood name which meant that either he was a halfblood or a mudblood. She didn't want to take it but if Granger had proved anything it was that Helena would have to deal with this. She took his hand.
