Draco wanted to know what was happening in that compartment. He knew that Helena couldn't last long with them, he'd been fighting with them for years and they were completely insufferable. But he could hold his tongue if he had to, and he was sure Helena couldn't. At the most, not for long. He tapped his fingers against the cover of a book. He needed a distraction, not just from the thought of Helena possibly blowing up the train but also of him having to kill Dumbledore. Holy mother of serpents, he had to kill Dumbledore. Not only that but he had to fix a bloody vanishing cabinet and sneak a whole lot of death eaters into the castle. And he had to kill the only wizard, excluding Potter, who could face the dark lord and live. Draco heard his tapping stop as he was overcome with the inability to breathe properly.

"Oi," Blaise nudged his foot, "you look like a Hufflepuff having a asthma attack, what's up?"

Draco swallowed, "Nothing..." He stared at the window, "Hey Blaise..." Draco felt his heart beating, was he really going to do this? "What would you do if... you know, you were being forced to do something that you... that you don't really want to do?"

He snorted, "I'd be the one forcing, why?" He frowned.

Draco felt a lump from in his throat, "No reason really," he cleared his throat, "just trying to figure out someone's next move."

Blaise relaxed, "You had me going there for a second, mate, thought you might've been coming down with something." He smoothed back his hair, "I don't know, is it Potter? It'd be awesome if it was Potter, he'd totally get all flustered trying to get out of it. He might try to find a loophole or something."

Draco nodded, "Potter would do that, wouldn't he?"

Blaise laughed, "Yeah."

Pansy waltzed in, "Have you boys seen the newbie? Looks like a psycho."

"Really? A first year?" Blaise sat forward, eyebrow raised.

Pansy leant forward too, "Nope, I heard she was homeschooled before..."

"Before her family was murdered by Death Eaters." Draco looked out the window, so she was already gossip but not because of violence.

"You've heard about her?" Pansy smiled.

Draco shrugged, "In passing."

"You think she's Slytherin material?" Blaise asked Pansy.

Pansy twisted her mouth, "Looks it but I don't know."

Someone stuck their head in, "She's in Potter's compartment. I'm saying that if she's Slytherin she won't last the trip. If she lasts though, Gryffindor for sure."

Pansy screwed up her nose, "Great, I was so hoping for a friend."

Blaise put out his hand to the stranger, "Deal, if she's lasts and is Slytherin or doesn't last and is Gryffindor then I win. If it's your scenario, you win."

"How much?" They smirked.

"Twelve galleons!" Blaise raised his eyebrow, his hand still extended.

The person thought about it, "Deal," they shook his hand.

Pansy screwed up her nose, "Your scenario is impossible, you know that right?"

Blaise laughed, "We'll see."

"You have a betting problem." She tucked her legs under her.

Draco twisted his hands in his lap, a loophole, what loophole could there possibly be? Get the Death Eaters into Hogwarts, Kill Dumbledore... But it didn't have to be in person, he didn't have to cast it. That's it, he could poison the old man or something. As long as he died.
