Chapter 3: His thoughts

Tristan's POV

So here I am standing beside "her". The weather is too hot to stroll around and I don't even want to accompany her. Geez I don't even have a choice! But I'm positive they're up to something. I can see she's drooling, not because of me. But because of Harris. Tsk! Mga babae nga naman. I can even see from my peripheral vision that other girls were flirting on me. Their clothes were even revealing! I shake my head and tried to snap it out. Shantie is even way too different from other girls out there including Samantha. Well, Samantha is unique in her own way. I admit, she's pretty. No, she's gorgeous. Fair skin, average height, and very outgoing person and smart too. Then she has this beautiful smile every time she pursed her lips. But I just don't care about her that much. She's a friend. Okay let me erase that. We're actually NOT a friend. Not an arch enemies, but it's like there's this aura between the two of us that makes us hate each other. And if you're asking me kung kailan nagsimula? I don't even know! Perhaps in my calculations, that started back when we were in highschool. But I can't possibly think of any specific reasons. Tsk! Why am I even thinking about her?

If you're asking who exactly I really am. Erm I'm The Tristan Cedrick Mondragon that everyone would drool over. People addressed me as cold, smart, tall, trim build but not overly muscular body and of course, a signature smirk that can make their minds crazy- In short, a fine good-looking man. Hey, I wasn't bragging, they said so. Well, except for Samantha, that'll pissed her off. I don't smile and laugh a lot just with Shantie and my close friends. But man, I don't really care if people call me a snob. All I care is my Shantie, Shantie Brena Fuente- my everything. She's my childhood bestfriend and my soon to be wife. I can't wait to finally be tied with her legally. Since high school, we were already friends. And from the moment I was actually with her, I realized that I love her more than anything. At wala na akong ibang papakasalan kundi siya lamang. Well, I am not courting her. But one thing's for sure, I love her, and we love each other. But there's just something pulling me from courting her. I don't know what exactly it is. So basically, I am single since birth.

On the other hand, both of my parents are a business tycoon. My dad is Phillip and my mom is Astrid Mondragon. They were actually arch enemies back when they were in college. But since both parties are rich, basically, my grandparents arranged a business marriage contract. They said it wasn't easy at first as they really hate each other. Walang man lang araw na hindi nagbabangian. And at that time, may iba pa talaga silang mahal. But in the end, they just realized they couldn't live without each other. And from that moment, they fall into each other's arms. Yeah I know, kinda sweet and a cheesy story. But man, I don't want that to happen in my life! If they are to arranged me to someone, make sure na mahal ko ang tao so that I wouldn't have any regrets.

So back to what we were talking a while ago, our company is on the top and my parents only have me and Anais Rain-my little sister. And that means na ako ang susunod sa yapak ng dad ko. Honestly, I don't hate to be a business man but other than that profession I actually want to become a Doctor. Where I can take good care of my wife with our children. Geez! I'm getting cheesy. Anyways, 1 year lang ang gap namin ni Anais. So my brilliant parents thought an idea that we will be attending the same class and grade with the same school. Kaya, same kami ng year ngayon. It wasn't disastrous like other siblings had experienced. It doesn't affect me actually. We both talk, chat and crack jokes yet were not best friends. Kasi she already have Samantha as her very close friend. They were inseparable.

I was snapped back to reality when someone laughed.

"HAHA"-Samantha and Harris

'Tsk! Sina Samantha at Harris lang pala.'

They were busy talking and laughing. Lalanggamin ata ako neto. If Shantie were here, I would be happy just like the two.
