Alive

Death approached her once,

"I almost took your life in a glance,

How could you still be alive?"

She fiercely replied,

"When you took the light,

I saw diamonds in the sky.

You drowned me in pain,

but I learned how to swim in flames.

You took my wings away,

then I learned how to fly in my own way.

And thanks to you, I am still alive."
