I woke up with my face pressed against the back of a white T-Shirt who I soon realized probably belonged to Brandon. I felt a little bad for making him carry me although I think I would have done just about anything to be so up close and personal with his back muscles. I felt a soft sway as we ascended up the stairs and arrived at the second floor. From what I could see before my neck muscles got too tired, there were a bunch of arcade games and a couple other doors that I had no idea the purpose of. I felt Brandon's firm hands against my bare legs as he carried me further into the halls of the second floor. This place was like a maze, and definitely two times the size of my own home. After what seemed like forever, Brandon opened a door and set me gently onto a bed. The room I was in was absolutely gorgeous. On the ceiling I saw beautiful wood, and there was a whole wall of windows looking out onto the city. The bed underneath me sported a plush comforter and there were simple furnishings set around the room. Brandon noticed me looking around in admiration.
"I chose the smallest room, but I think it has the best views." Brandon was looking out of the window onto Santa Barbara. There were books and papers sprawled out on a wooden desk on the side of the room opposite where the bathroom entrance was. A guitar and piano were also sat nearby.
"Do you do music?" It's not how I would normally phrase the question, but he got the point.
"All my friends and I are in a band."
"Oh." He turned around and looked at me before running a hand through his messy hair. Somehow it still looked perfectly placed. Brandon turned and began rummaging through his closet and then threw something out at me. It hit me straight in the face.
"Oh jesus. Sorry." The boy in front of me fumbled with his words. "Sorry. Um. There's a t-shirt you can sleep in. I don't have any clothes for girls."
"That's okay. I usually only sleep in T-Shirts anyway." I fumbled with the bottom of my dress.
Brandons POV
I stood frozen as Audrey began to undress in front of me. The hem of her dress had reached about the middle of her flat stomach before I came to my senses. As much as I would like to see her in just her bra and underwear, she was just drunk and probably wouldn't do this normally. Plus I didn't know how I would react if I did see her basically naked. I ran over to her and grabbed the bottom of the dress before this could escalate. She looked up at me with a confused expression.
"You can change in the bathroom." I put a hand on her back as I watched the blood rush up to her face. It was apparent Audrey was not that kind of person when sober. I guided her over to the bathroom which, while it didn't technically have a door, was still private enough to where I wouldn't be watching her. She stumbled a few times on the way there which didn't surprise me. I left her in the bathroom and sat on my phone for a few minutes waiting. Honestly, I didn't know what had motivated me to bring this girl to my room instead of a guest room or something. I also didn't know why I was letting her wear my clothes. I'd met her less than an hour ago. I guess I felt a bit of sympathy for her. I'd had my nights too, and from what I'd heard this wasn't really normal for her. I also needed something to pay attention to. To get my mind off of Charlotte. Charlotte. I hadn't thought about her since the girls and Zion had stumbled in suddenly. I felt guilty for being in such close proximity to a girl who was wearing practically nothing. But I also felt guilty for thinking about Charlotte when I was with Audrey. What the fuck was going on. I checked the time. It was 12:30 in the morning. I couldn't imagine the kind of hangover Audrey would be greeted with tomorrow morning so I headed downstairs to grab her some water. Charlotte was still filling up almost every corner of my mind. It was almost impossible to stop thinking about her once I started. I grabbed a bottle from the fridge and headed back upstairs.
