{Kinda short but an update nonetheless}
I couldn't help but gawk at the mysterious guy from the club. I hadn't learned his name but I definitely recognized his sharp jawline and those hands that had run up and down- fuck. Stop thinking about that Ruby. But my mind took hold. The memories were foggy considering all the alcohol I'd had, but I could recall everything.
I danced with Zoe for a while before remembering the whole motivation for coming into this club. That beautiful hunk of a man I had seen outside. I searched for his light brown hair hoping that I'd spot him and could start dancing with him. I wasn't the type to grind on anybody, ugh don't get me started on my sophomore year at prom, but I would honestly do anything to spend time with that guy. I finally spotted him, and even though I'd only seen him for a few seconds earlier that night, I was sure it was him. I ditched Zoe, which looking back on probably wasn't the best thing I've ever done and made my way towards him to the crowd. I attempted to act natural as I danced up to him, but I honestly just looked like a crow doing a mating call. Whatever it was, it worked, because he grabbed my hands and twirled me around. It went on like that for a while, but he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. It was so sexy I was considering just taking off all of his clothes right in the middle of that dance floor. Something about the way his hand easily held me just felt so perfect. Someone I didn't recognize handed him a shot and I watched him drink the alcohol. A sad feeling came over me. I snapped back to reality and realized that this was all just his drunk persona and that he probably wouldn't even remember me in the morning. I continued to dance with him just for the hell of it for thirty minutes or so. Another random person handed me a shot, and I decided 'fuck it' and threw it down the back of my throat. The warm liquid ran through my veins and suddenly a terrible idea popped into my head. I tried to convince myself it was just the alcohol speaking, but slowly I let the rush take over me. Like an idiot, I grabbed his hands in my face and kissed him. It was salty and hot from all the warm bodies surrounding us. I felt him tense with surprise, but soon enough he eased up and wrapped his arms around my waist. I was such an idiot. This dude could have herpes or some weird disease from Africa or something, but for some reason the kiss just felt so perfect. He ran circles around my spine, and the way he touched me sent shivers up my bac-. He pulled away abruptly.
"Fuck." He breathed. "Listen I have a girlfriend, and I love her. Sorry this ever happened." Just like that he stalked away from me and into the crowds of people. I turned on my heel back towards the bar hoping to forget about that sexy ass boy.
Of course the situation I was in right now was not helping. I could tell I mimicked the look of shock on his face, and the heat rising to my cheeks was unreal. I could hear the boys discussing something, but what really snapped me out of my trance was Audrey.
"Do you guys know each other or something?" she asked.
"No." I snapped as quickly as possible. There was no way anybody could know about what had happened. Especially his friends that were all starting to notice just how long I'd been staring at this guy I still didn't know the name of. Especially his friends who probably knew his girlfriend. "How would we no each other?" I added just to make it clear that there was nothing between us. I continued to listen while the boys talked and figured out everything that was going on. Somehow I had ended up seated next to mystery man, turns out his name was Nick. I was lost in my thoughts when suddenly a huge bang erupted throughout the household. Instinctively I put my hand on Nicks thigh looking for protection and immediately cursed myself for being moderately terrified on of thunderstorms. Ugh don't get me started on this one time I was babysitting. Even though I knew I shouldn't be, I held my hand there for a couple seconds too long, craving the way my hand felt when it was in contact with him. I pulled away quickly as soon as the lights turned back on. At that point I decided we should definitely leave, so I quickly told the boys we could call an Uber to leave after thanking Zion for his help. My idea was destroyed by Austin who was a bit smarted than he seemed, and it looked like there was no option for Uber. Just when I thought I was about to have to spend a night in my own personal hell, Brandon offered to take us home. And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, the door wouldn't fucking open. And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse than that, Audrey passed out, and not to mention in the arms of a strange but handsome boy that she'd never met. Everything was a blur. I don't know why but I watched Brandon carry Audrey up to some mysterious place, and that's when I realized how creepy this situation was. Some guy had tried to pick Zoe up in a bar, and then had taken us back to their way too nice penthouse where the door would not open. I might have been a little bit tipsy, but I sure as hell knew that this wasn't a normal situation.
"Okay, what the fuck is going on here?" I spit. "You guys need to open that fucking door right now!" I always cussed too much when I was drunk.
"Woah, woah." Nick soothed. "Calm down. We're calling the front desk right now." His voice calmed my nerves a little bit, but this whole situation was way too weird for my liking. Zoe definitely picked up on what I was, and demanded to talk to the front desk herself. I shut up while Zoe grabbed the landline from Edwin's hands. I listened in silence as Zoe rolled her eyes and asked continuous strings of questions into the phone. She finally hung up.
"So theres good news and bad news." Zoe announced. "Good news is I'm pretty sure these guys aren't psychos trying to kill us. Bad news is, when the power went out it blew some fuses in the main electrical panels. Since the top floors are new, all of the doors are controlled electrically and, you guessed it, we won't be able to leave this room for at least a couple of days. Don't forget, this penthouse is equipped with top notch security for yours truly, so they also can't break into the room and get us out." I was panicking. I could not spend this much time with Nick. Things were already tense before I'd even met him, and you bet they still were. Not to mention I'd have to be spending days on end with him? Something in the universe was definitely out to get me. This had to be some kind of joke. I looked around the room and the solemn faces I was met with reassured me that I would be spending what was supposed to be a girls trip with five guys that I'd met within the hour. So my night was pretty much terrible.
