Chapter Thirteen

Darrien scanned the crowd looking for Marley. Their were lots of familiar people inside the room, all of whom very taller than Marley, but he knows he can easily spot Marley. It was like he had a radar when she's near or around the premise. But so far he failed to find her, and Martin hadn't arrive yet. So it all makes sense.

Kasabay niyang dumating ang kapatid at magulang. He was asked a few questions about why he wasn't with Savanna but Darrien remained tight lip. Soon they will know. Kaarawan nang Tito Martin niya kaya ayaw niyang maging sentro nang usapan. At may hinala si Darrien na isasapubliko na nito ang tungkol kay Marley. So that will satisfy their curious mind.  Hindi niya lang alam kung ano ang isasagot nito sa oras na tanungin tungkol sa ama nang ipinagbubuntis ni Marley. They hadn't been in good terms kahit alam na nang Tito niya ang hinain na divorce. And his losing patience. Natatakot siya maaring gawin kapag umabot sa hangganan ang paghihintay niya. 

His attention was caught by the arrival of Dante. The man giving him a cold glare, but Darrien shrugged it off. He doesn't owe him anymore. Later Savanna walked behind her father with a man on her side. Darrien narrowed his eyes. The man looks polished, and even though he hated to admit it, at head turner. He was tall and lean beside Savanna but Darrien stood taller than him and had wider shoulder and muscled body. 

'Just what are playing now Savanna?' he muttered under his breath when Savanna look at her and smiled devilishly. 

Sandaling tumahimik ang usap usapan sa loob nang kwarto at ang iba ay nakatingin sa kanya na para bang naaawa. Gusto niyang isigaw sa mga ito nasiya ang nang iwan at hindi ang babaeng ngayon ay nsging sentro nang atraksyon nang lahat nang mga bisita.

'Hello Darrien' Savanna greeted him with a fake smile.

Tumango si Darrien. 'Hello, Savanna.'

'Oh. And by the way, this is Jared. Jared my soon to be ex husband, Darrien.'

Napakunot ang noo ni Darrien habang inilihad ang kamay sa lalaki sa harap. Surely, this can't be the same Jared who Marley talked about. He might think that fate was playing on them. 

'Nice to finally meet you.' He said with a smug smile on his face. His voice is deceptively soft and so is the smile on his face. His face has a hard line and the thick hair already show some of grey hairs. He look to be on his late thirties and early forties.

'Likewise.' Sagot ni Darrien.

Nakasunod ang tingin ni Darrien sa dalawa habang papalayo ang mga ito sa kanya. Isang tingin lang at alam ni Darrien na hindi niya gusto ang lalaki.Hindi dahil kasama nito si Savanna, kundi dahil alam niyang may tinatago ito.

He promise to ask Marley about Jared. Forget about being personal. Hell, they already pass that. And there are so many thing he hadn't know about Marley. It time to put everything into perspective. Soon after the divorced finalize, Marley will become his. And if he need to put a ring on her finger, he will love to do that.aputol ang malalim na pag iisip niya nang tawagin nang kapatid.

'Okay ka lang?' Tanong ni Danielle.

'Of course. Why?'

'For a moment, you look like you're ready to kill someone. Are you jealous?'

Napatawa si Darrien sa tanong nang kapatid. 'Believe me, that's the last thing on my mind.'

'Then what's with the look?'

'I just don't liked the man.'

'Okay.' she said doesn't look convince at all. ' Now let's go back with mom and dad.'

Nangangawit na ang panga ni Marley sa kaka ngiti habang pinapakilala sa mga kaibigan nito at ibang artist na katulad  nang ama. Hindi niya mapigilang hindi pamulahan nang mukha habang ipinagmamalaki nang ama ang mga gawa niya sa mga kakilala nito. Ilang minuto lang ang lumipas nang ipakilala siya nang ama sa boung tao sa magarang ballroom . Nagulat siya nang malaman na pagmamay ari nang ama ang mansion. He looks like a simple man at first look, but Marley still surprise when she heard about his father's properties. Marahil lang ay hindi pa siya sanay.
