"Breath and push, good girl almost done. Breath and push and their out" the nurse hands my new baby to the other nurse and I can finally relax. We have been in the hospital for hours and I've been pushing this little screaming bundle of joy out for about 45 minutes. I'm so tired I could just fall asleep here
"Here sweetie let's give you to mummy" I'm holding my new baby. I can't believe this is actually happening.
"Shaun do we have a girl or boy?" Oh yeah I should check the gender since we don't know. I hold our baby up and check and....... ITS A GIRL. Colby is jumping around without me needing to say anything
"Yes we got a girl. Hello Angle" he gave her a little kiss on the top of her head then went back to jumping around
"What are you going to name her" a name. That's a really hard decision
"Colby what do you want to name her?" He looks like I just asked him to go and kill someone
"Wow your letting me name her?" I just nod
"I carried her around for 5 months so it's only fair that you name her" he laughed at the little joke I made
"Hmm Catalina?" That name is beautiful. I nod on agreement with a huge smile on my face
"Catalina Brock?" Colby nodded
"That will be your name one day anyway" is he hinting that he might propose soon? We've only been dating for nearly a year let's get to a year and a half first.
